Mayank and other upcoming pacers must seriously take care of their diet

Even the batsmen

Cricket is no more a game of stylish batsmanship or gentle trundling or pseudo swing bowling

Even if they get injured they should make sure they heal quickly and return with no losses in strength and power

You have to born special to Bowl otherwise get ready to be injured.

Jeff Thompson , Shoaib, Brettlee and West indian Quicks were all special to sustain pace in test matches for so long. Lee was last bowler to sustain such exppress pace for long time Starc did it for 1-2 years but was hardly above 150 in test for long

Assuming all become good enough to play for India..

We need 4 express pacers to rotate..

Mayank,Kartik Tyagi,Umran and Sakib?

injuries will happen but we need these 4 to be groomed so we always have couple(or minimum 1) available to play so the pace bowling quality in team is not compromised.

Same here...very disappointed.

on these patta's only  indian bowler came up and he is hurt.

i hope he plays in the next match else my interest in this ipl is over. franchisee is not giving opportunity to karthik tyagi and umraan

There is a reason the great fast bowlers start off with a couple of warm up slower balls before unleashing themselves. The body needs to warm up.

The moment I saw the first ball bowled last match by this Mayank at 153.2, I was like ....this guy is inviting a strain, does he not know to warm up?

Fast bowling is susceptible to injuries. Not warming up is inviting them.

Watch Jeff Thomson below - first ball with sweater on, then sweater is off. The third ball is a brute compared to the first ball.

Unless it not a proper side strain and just a mild discomfort.

We will get to know in a short time.

Even in that case you would want to be cautious and not play him soon. Best case scenario is he comes back at the end of IPL - maybe last 1 or 2 games of IPL and plays playoffs.

Fast bowlers bodies don't develop early for some I guess. 24 ish would be good but sometimes you just have to unleash quicks hey.

Guess mayank body isn't strong enough yet.

Great day for trundler brigade. I am sure pakpassion would be escatic. They may have put a curse for all we know.

Some very sadistic people like that bangla guy bhag viru bhag etc. And even sweepshot who has become a huge indian hater lol

These days they do warm up before bowling, In T20s bowlers can not start with a loosener, so mostly warm-up during the break so do the batters.

Think the issue Issue with Mayank was know to LSG the way they pulled him off, could be recovery thing, side strain is not unusual for faster bowler as long as it is not a tear or some sort.

Its samething as batter get lower back pains because of various reasons. Some rest should be okay, hopefully everything is okay
