Lone Wolf Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 Akashdeep looks unsuited to the format... Kuldeep Sen bowled with serious pace and better accuracy than him. Both should focus on ODIs and Tests atm. But Kuldeep Sen has more weapons in his arsenal. tapandrun 1

vvvslaxman Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 If you bowl well at Wankhede you deserve respect. If you bowl badly not the end of the world. Akash deep is still a bright test prospect. Suhaan, Lord and tapandrun 3
tapandrun Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 (edited) Akash deep mostly brings the ball into right handers that will always be an issue in T20s, that is why Harshit was not playing first few games last season. When batter it set to hit the ball, its easier when they know it is only going to come in, like how Sky planted his foot out side off and dragged the ball into legside boundary. Similarly its easier to ramp balls coming in and to play hook shots after moving inside the line of the ball. Harshit gets extra bounce that helps him even though he also brings the ball in, before injury one could see he was trying to take the ball away for the first time in IPL. But Akash deep looked good prospect for test, had good zip of the surface and was hitting the bat hard and sustained pace for 6/7 overs. Should have played next test. Would like see if he gets that kind of zip naturally or was just one of better days for him. Sen was good last match till his last over, bowled at good clicks has nautal ball that goes away from right handers, bowls from closer to stumsp. Does not have t20 skills, bt for test or Odis looks good- Yorker, bouncer, full, 3/4 lenght ball all had some kind zip. Should have bowled fast in the stumps, pace change does not look like his thing. Edited April 11, 2024 by tapandrun express bowling, singhvivek141 and Mosher 3

Gollum Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 Missed the match yesterday but please Siraj, take a 6 months break, get married, go for a vacation, whatever. Do it voluntarily because you have become the poster boy of mediocrity now.

In hindsight his presence was not needed in WC final on a blackish pitch. Ashwin could have been played. Kron, JaFanatic, AuxiliA and 1 other 4

His hard length cross seamers are not hurrying batters anymore. He is doing well only when the new ball is swinging significantly. Mosher, tapandrun and singhvivek141 3

When Siraj was at the peak of his powers in 2018 and 19, he did not get picked. Now that he is in the coterie, he will be picked without putting in any thoughts about his current efficacy. Had Pandya been fully fit, we could have taken this gamble for just a couple of games. That would have greatly strengthened our batting without weakening our bowling much. We lost the WC coz of our p**s poor batting depth. Otherwise Rohit was taking the WC away from Aus until be got out. Gollum 1
Need4Speed Posted April 12, 2024 Posted April 12, 2024 (edited) Poor mentality of making(doctoring?) that track backfired..Instabt Karma.. there was no reason to fix which aint broken..we were winning the final under normal circumstances anyways.. I know it's scary in the nets to face bumrah shami etc. But you have no choice. What will you do if opponents bowl bouncers at you? You have to be prepared right. Same mindset was quite prevalent in sunny g's era. They refused to face bowlers who are quick in nets. Edited April 12, 2024 by Kron express bowling 1
