Both Ashok and Tyagi had sub-par days.

But Ashok looked better than Tyagi on both their bad days. Bowled some dangerous deliveries too which Tyagi did not.

Probably the effect of lots of domestic matches which Ashok.played and Tyagi could not.

Next 2 games are trundler fests.

While Ashok looks naturally a long term prospect, Tyagi cannot be undermined. Ashok is someone who looks strong, robust and someone who can dominate for a long time, Tyagi looks more like a meteor, will shine for a limited time. However, he can be a very important inclusion. Tyagi brings that youthful enthusiasm, he is naturally gifted and we cannot have a choice between Ashok and Tyagi. Both are essential.

Our pool of 150 k+ pacers in growing. We probably have 4 of them now. Ashok, Mayank, Tyagi, Umran. The more the merrier.

But only one of them is playing FC and List A regularly.

We need the others to play the 2 longer formats regularly too in domestic cricket.

I don't want to sound pessimistic but Umran can be ignored until he makes a comeback. Personally, he is my favorite among them.

Prasidh is becoming a skilful pacer at last. Control has improved and he is able to execute different types of deliveries as per situation.

And pace and bounce are still there.

Bodes well.

Prasidh had all the qualities, but I think he need support from captain and coach.

When he first appeared he could bowl above 145 k speeds ,had bounce, had Yorker, but he was lost for all this year's.

Inspite of there being lots of pacers in his Ranji team Rajasthan and IPL team GT , Ashok was able to make his place.

But Tyagi was ignored by his Ranji teams UP and IPL teams over the years .

Inspite of being more gifted it always look Tyagi is playing to keep his place secure for the next game.

Tyagi has got fear that if he performs badly he would be dropped and he will lost in the wilderness.

Ashok has good support bowlers in Siraj,Prasidh ,Rabada  whereas Tyagi has support of Arora,Saini.

When Tyagi is full flow ,he has habit to taking wickets in a heap.I think he has hat-trick in VH and SMA tournaments.

Biggest issue with Tyagi so far was his fitness, he was spending a lot of time recovering from injury...state like UP which has so much players, for them Tyagi is just another name. They have Mavi, Bhuvi, Mohsin, Aaqib, Ankit Rajput, some Panwar etc.

This season he played few games, and so far in IPL has played 5 games back to back. Healthy signs, if he maintains hia fitness and picks up wkts...UP might include him in T20, List A & FC.

Ashok's story too wasnt much different, though not injured but even Rajasthan has so many fast bowlers to choose from. This season he did decently in List & FC while being exceptional in T20 has titled the scales in his favour.

Both Tyagi & Ashok have very real chance to knock the doors of Indian fast bowling. Umran is lost, Mayank's whereabouts is still unproven...if theh both pick aome more wickets they can actually make tough for selectors to ignore them.
