  • Root- he has a carrom ball, he will fire in a seam up in between, i think googly to
  • Livingstone- he can bowl both off n leg spin, when leftie comes in he bowls offies n when righty comes he bowls leggies.....he is always among the wkts for his leagues n now england to

Then they have all rounder and bowlers who can bat , yaha bowler batting nahin karte aur batsman bowling nahin karte

In the past ,we had many decent batsmen who were also part time spinners like Sehwag, Raina, Yuvi etc.   Now, we hv none.  I remember even Rohit used to bowl.  Now he is lazy. And stopped it altogether. This is an aspect which our TM needs to work on quickly.  Coz, if a regular bowler gets injured or has an off day, the match will be lost there itself.

its not easy being a part timer these days u need great variety like these 2 above or jadhav. Someone like maxwell can also fire in yorkers n vary  his length very well. With 2 new balls and just 4 fielder outside circle in middle over old ways of part timer wont work. Variation matters

Livingstone is a poor man's version of SRT, the bowler. he gets wickets in T20s because bowling random deliveries can help. Root is okay as a part-timer. I would still rate SRT, ganguly, and sehwag higher in tests than root. I agree that our batters have stopped bowling altogether - in LOIs, however, game has changed a lot and just being a part-timer can lead to lot of phainty if not handled correctly (in terms of captaincy)

variation cant be ignored by using a word like random. He takes wkts, end of discussion .....wat else does matter

Root is a very good part timer, very very good......with his variety he will keep chipping away with wkts

Fact is we do not have these kind of  players . even players in their 20s do not seem to have basic skills .

Could be Sundar can become one if he raises the bar soo much in batting that he becomes a top order bat. But not that certain that may happen.

Gill can at least try to  become decent bowler as he has 4-5 years to develop skills so can contribute in another 3-4 years as he has age on his side.

It will require another generation of players who start doing this early in their career & keep that as a goal.

We have to make best use of what we have right now.
