zen Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) Marrying into a different religion is one thing, asking them to convert is another … you cannot be asking ppl to convert to any religion to marry In my family, ppl (not accounting for the old “arranged marriage” gen) have only married Sikh girls so far (Sorry, Gujju girls). No one has asked them to convert to any religion or even speak in Gujarati. They follow the Hindu traditions (pray at the temples for e.g.), speak in Gujarati and Hindi, and also go to Gurudwara (and everyone in the family goes with them to Gurudwaras too) Edited June 30, 2021 by zen dial_100 and sandeep 2

You can go to temple or gurudwara and there is no restriction.It has worked out well for them. Gujjus overall are very tolerant people anyway.

When he was Yousuf Yuhana his wife was frowned upon by other pakistani women.They were looked down, made an outcast and he had no choice. but to embrace islam.
