He is like steve smith..he can suddenly crank it up n inevitably stuff his opponents without breaking a sweat..

Looked under pressure here though.

I think Germans have good competition within their country in this game.

Rohler (Rio gold medalist) and Hoffman are as good as him.

Yes ...best throw of all 16 athletes in his group... 86.x in 1 attempt.

And 86.x itself is worthy of a medal (silver, bronze), if he can repeat this in final

For gold 88-90 m throw needed as seen in past 5-6 Olympics

He too is a brilliant athlete. Has decent chance of qualifying to final.

Asian Games 2018, now improved even more and throws 84-85m consistently.

he is decent too. but like i said asian games athletics isn't a good benchmark. cwg somewhat cause aus, nz, sa are decent at athletics.

i think this is our best olympics so far even if medal tally is less than 2012 (hopefully not though).

we had chanu/chaudhary on first day. chopra/bajrang on last (bajrang if he gets into final or repechage). and other events in between.

so its an olympics where almost everyday we had a potential medal contender playing. and that makes great viewing.

85m is good for any level of competition. That Pakistani guy even threw an 87 recently.
