I think this the template TM will go with which I actually think is fairly likely. 6 bowlers is a requirement in T20. Given Hitman, KL, Kohli,Sky,Pant do not bowl.

 

Hardik and Jaddu gives us weaponized potency in the field.

 

Hitman and KL as the opening pair. Each being potential match winners. Hitman's aerial shots inside the first 6 overs is massive.

 

Kohli is captain unfortunately. He will anchor every innings. However, he should be the only player that does this.

 

SKY,Pant,Hardik,Jaddu is the power hitting middle order. Again here each has shown they can win a match singlehandedly.

 

Thankur,Bhuvi,Bumrah and Siraj are the the bowlers. There will be variations depending on the surface, meaning India will drop one of the pace bowlers and opt for the spinner to assist Jaddu.

Nice summary. I don’t think Hardik and Shardul will play together. We need another spinner as Jaddu won’t suffice. Sundar, Chahal, Rahul Chahar, Axar and Krunal fit that bill. I wish they pick Ashwin,

Yeah I agree with that. I also think though the surface will dictate the bowlers selected with Hardik and Shardul being expendable for a spinner.

 

There will be some sought of faceoff between these two, whoever performs overall the best and adds more value to the team will be selected.

 

Shardul being a better bowler than Hardik and Hardik being a  better powerhitter than Shardul, will make eliminating one of them challenging. Hardik has Shardul comfortably beaten in the outfield and this is where he may have an edge. Shardul likely to bowl 4 overs and bowl them well whereas Hardik only needs to likely bowl 2 overs max.

 

Hardik in Australia proved he can explode from the first ball and if he can regain that form, he is a lock.

Hitman, KLR, Rat, SKY, Pant, Hardik, Sundar/Jaddu, Shardul/Rahul Chahar, Bumrah, Bhuvi/Siraj. In an ideal world, I would like to have seen one of Kishan/Shaw play instead of Rohit/Rat, both of whose tempo is slower than the current T20 game. but it ain't gonna happen.

 

In fact, don't be surprised if TM goes with Dhawan, Rohit, Rat, KLR, SKY, Hardik, Krunal, Sundar, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Unadcutter {hee hee}

Squad is more or less ready. Few positions in playing xi are up for debate. Its Sky vs Iyer, chahal vs a few contenders. one of Natrajan or Chahar.  I also feel Shami will miss out.

 

Overall we have a good squad, i unfortunately don't think we are one of front runners. 

 

WI, Eng are clearly ahead thanks to all the power players. NZ are good. Pak have always done well in t20, in the absence of stars they obviously will have to do well as a unit. Ind and Aus it will all boil down to when they peak, both will consistently give par performance so opposition will have to be at their best to beat them but both have that missing x factor HOWEVER you catch both of them when on song, then both have team to steamroll any opposition even in T20 format.

TTF Asif Ali and Khushdil is back and the fatso Azam is also selected.

That middle order reminds me if India during WC 19..  Quite a shoddy batting unit bar Babar & Rizwan.  They have messed it up I think.  Hafeez is in a poor run now & age has caught up...  If he chucks though would be very handy. 

Afghans will be eyeing a surprise win against them.

Moreover, T20 is Shaheen weakest format.

Shadab, Imad and Nawaj are decent but all are darters which can backfire also.

With Lord Thakur in astonishing hitting form...  Makes no sense to pick a bits n pieces player like Jadeja in T20 team.  He can't hit from ball 1 & can't take wickets as well in T20 format nor economical. 

Axar is a better bowler than him...  And we can count on him to bowl 4 tidy overs unlike Jadeja.  Like for like replacement for Sundar @Ankit_sharma03 might agree here.
