So no Tendulkar hasn't faced better bowlers than Anderson in England. Cricket is condition dependent sport. Even the best bowlers would look ordinary if conditions didn't help. The combilned attack of Harmison,Flintoff ,Johns and Simons were much better than this broad+anderson attack which won Ashes agains atg aus and later on India defeated in 2007. Also as per your criteria Anderson and Broad never faced prime tendulkar, Lara , Richards and many other great. Lone Wolf 1

No one cares about single series score if you bat like tailender most other time. 2018 series run doesn't change the fact that see still lost 4-1. 2007 is still our last victory in eng. Here we aren't talking about wins and losses. You win and lose as a team. Neither I am claiming Kohli to better than Tendulkar. My point was Kohli has faced best fast bowling attack England had in last 30 years. Tendulkar most of the time faced mediocre bowling attacks. When England had decent bowling attack in 2011, he too struggled. 2011, 2014, 2018 and now. Anderson alone makes 50% difference to any bowling attack in these conditions. In fact sachin has never played a 5 test series in England in his entire career But i think more telling is their worse series, sachins worse averaging series in england were 38 and 34 (on his last legs with peak Anderson and broad). Kohli already has series where he averaged 13 and 17 (ongoing) kohli and nitinbwj 1 1

Yes yes any attack sachin doesnt face in his prime is the best attack Dude sachins career shows he never had problems with swing bowling in his prime. He even took on steyn when he was 38 years old. His problem was seam bowlers like asif or even mcgrath. There is no evidence a peak sachin couldn't have faced Anderson

You yourself putting a criteria that Anderson and Broad were young in 2007 and then hyping anderson and broad performance against old Tendular. So lets just focus on Kohli and his performance against these bowler rather than saying tendulkar never faced bowler like him how would Tendulkar face when the never debut before . All in all kohli just had to face only limted great bowlers in his career and most of the time he looked like a tailender. So i agree Prime kohli vs Prime anderson , anderson wins hands down, where as smith tame prime anderson like no one did in current generation. Not just anderson he tamed most of the great bowlers in their own backyard. Kohli has very limited performance against great bowlers.

He didn't play against us in 2007. Neither Harmison played against us in 2007. We had rookie Anderson, trundler Ryan Sidebottom and debutant Chris Tremlett and even in that series, Tendulkar struggled. It was a really weak England bowling attack.

Where as looking like tailender and worst avg than some of our fast bowlers in 3 out of 2 test series of kohli is great performance.

I am not claiming Kohli to be greater than Tendulkar. I probably the first one who talked Kohli's limited batting, lack of backfoot game. My point is England had a mediocre bowling attack in the 90s with Mark Elhams, Corks, Chris Lewis, Mullaly playing for them. Far cry from facing the likes of Anderson, Broad, Bresnan, Woakes, etc and people talking about Jones and Harmison. They played agay us 2002 one test when they debuted. They didn't play much against us in England. Edited August 27, 2021 by rkt.india

They were condition specific bowler just like anderson performance is limited to Eng for longer period , there was a time when Sidebottom was running riots on some of the other teams. Sidebottom took some 7 wkt hauls just before our series against eng and he was highest wkt taker against Lara lead wi team. kohli 1

He is averaging 17 now where english bowling is only a 40 year old anderson and then overton, robinson and curran . Sachin at his worse, at 39 years, in the year he struggled against all bowlers and teams, averaged 34 vs peak anderson and broad in england. There is simply no comparison Edited August 27, 2021 by New guy raki05 and kohli 2

Dude gets bamboozled by Moeen Ali & leach in India can't buy a run against average spinners & he is supposedly comparable to SRT lol raki05 1

putrevus Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 When other batsmen like Smith and Root have been scoring runs, Kohli has flopped miserably far too many times and has been absent as a batsman completely to give him any benefit of doubt. This English attach stinks including Anderson at this age and this guy is looking clueless again.Time to move on from all the three useless middle order players and get youngsters in. Pujara is finished, Rahane was never good.

Can you tell me how many great batsmen avg so high against those mediocre english bowling attack. And do you also put same kind of astrick mark against all batsmen's who scored against Indian bowling till 2016. Do you also discount all those centuries of Lara and Viv Richards against eng. Point is it doesn't matter whom we face because in their conditions even shitty bowlers can turn in to world beater. Classic example Axar patel can never give the performance what he has given during last eng series anywhere else other than india on those turning pitches now if some batsmen score century in India against axar you can't say oh it was axar. BTW why you do projecting wrong data. Sidebottom career avg--27 Tremlett--28 On current attack Overton avg---44 Sam Curran-35 how come this attack has better bowler. Also you have old sanile Anderson 39 year old he is not at all in his prime, any other team would deal with him with ease heck even Pakistani did not give so many wkt to him. So stop projecting this attack is some great attack what india is facing. Lone Wolf, Vijy and New guy 3
