anish2tweet Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 I think Jaddu will be playing for his spot for T4 in the remainder of this test. Scored 100 runs at 25 avg (sure his batting position is a disadvantage but he is unable to bat with the tail) 2 wickets after conceding 190 runs, over 5 innings, total 76 overs No real impact while fielding....ATG fielder but keeper, slips, FSL, SP, leg gully are the important catching positions. Not good enough to hold on to the spot especially since he didn't have a good outing in WTC F as well (sub-par batting and no wicket). He needs to finish strong here, at least a 50 and if they bat again, a couple of wickets when match is alive. Avg is more than what you have calculated. Also, he is batting better than others. Other non-performers like Rahane should be dropped.Sent from my CPH1819 using Tapatalk

I can remember our batsmen giving us breakthrough like Ganguly picking up Cook in 2007 or Viru picking up 3 wickets in Perth 2007. These current overpaid buggers do not even bowl in net sessions.. Anyone from Pujara-Rahane can be dropped ,It would be bad idea to play only 4 bowlers just coz our batsmen are inept. Can do that if we play Vihari and SKY. Both can bowl.

anish2tweet Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Shaw should replace Rahane. Shaw ok for Oval but not a long term overseas solution. He has gaping holes in his technique. How is Eashwaran for Rahane? If he can open, push Rahul to middle order. Ashwin for Ishant.Rahul at no 5, Jaddu at 6, Pant at 7 Ashwin at 8Sent from my CPH1819 using Tapatalk

He might have some holes in his technique as of now but over time he is gonna give us way more than all these Panchals, Eashwarans and Mayanks combined. Also Shaw at 5 is actually a pretty good idea as he wouldn't have to face the new ball and can play his shots, even a 40 odd from him at no. 5 will help us. He has the same ability as Pant, Imagine Shaw and Pant at 5 and 6, a deadly combination if there was one.

Suhaan Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 People need to calm down,Ishant is not playing 3 consecutive tests anyway,he will be benched for sure Thakur needs to come in his place not Ashwin, England are not fools,it doesn't matter how good/bad is our bowling ,they know they can knock down are whole line up before tea first day itself if we bat first, they won't give us a hint of coming back by removing grass Ashwin maybe good but it will be like taking a punt on him,all hell will break loose if he fails on kohli If he walks into the side ,Kohli needs to make sure he isn't bowled less else that would mean breaking backs of your aces Bumrah,Siraj The question is, does he have that amount of confidence in Ashwin?

Shouldn't waste time on 2nd class talents like Mayank, Easwaran, Vihari when we have a prodigy in our dressing room. What will these Vihari's, Mayanks do? Nothing, just one or two good innings before the inevitable failure. Why not invest time on someone who has twice their ability

SRT100 Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Hitman Shaw Mayank Kohli KL Pant Jaddu Ashwin Shami Bumraj Siraj This side will win the 4th Test.

A lot of times he gets out misjudging the length His game as improved against spin but not that much Vijy 1

Also don't you think it's better to invest on him than some b grade talents who will inevitably end up with many failures in overseas conditions Edited August 29, 2021 by Adamant

They ll fail n have a lot of inconsistencies as well which what bothers me specially how i have seen ppl react to KL, pant, hardik n others new players. Everyone thinks next guy wud be some great solution but with just 2 failures they ll aim for his blood. Young players will be inconsistent 90% of times and will ups n down Coming back to shaw, he has a lot of issues against lateral movement so even he ll have his huge problems. When u talk about investment u also need to understand u need patience. In all honesty none of the new players will be a massive upgrade even on the declining current players for next few yrs. Vijy 1
