Things are going back to normal and people are getting on with their lives with the accepted risk ( most people are double jabbed) and you can see events going on as normal. if the Indian players feel that the restrictions in a country are too lose then : 1. Don’t tour and forfeit the series 2. agree to tour, then go about doing everything the normal public is doing and then complain they are scared of getting covid which may put their IPL participation at risk 3. if you really want bio bubbles then BCCI should cough up the extra funding to make that happen if their players want something that is not mandated by UK law and hence the ECB is not mandated to provide a bio bubble Tattieboy 1

If the government doesn't tell us to stay safe, why shuld we take steps for our own individual safety. Makes complete sense rollingstoned 1

We will do what we deem fit. The ECB tried to force potential Covid patients on the field for their monetary gains. I would not mind if Kohli & Rohit are banned for the rest of the year. I am not sure of their motivation, which may even be to play IPL game on Sep 19 (franchise over country, putting the series at risk). By not playing the test, they can get into UAE early.

But let’s not absolve any responsibility on Indian players who knowingly went about their business acting as if they are not in a bio bubble ( which they weren’t) and then fear about catching covid. The main apprehension for them is missing IPL, family concerns and mental well-being affected by being in bio bubbles is a smoke screen. that’s my personal opinion feel free to disregard also a large part of the adult population has been double vaccinated and a lot of single jabs. Only youngsters and kids don’t have the full vaccination yet. Edited September 11, 2021 by LordPrabhzy

What’s so difficult to understand about this aspect?

Works both ways. England were the first team that travelled to India and completed the series even when 2nd wave of Covid had started. At nearly 70-75 crs per match, that tour could have fetched approx. 1000 crs to BCCI. Let's not pretend BCCI doesn't need ECB. Tattieboy 1

Ok so with your approval of this kind of antagonism and fighting are you as an Indian fan content with IPL the only thing we have as a cricket game dominating the game? As an Indian fan that’s absolute bollocks for me. take your iPL and shove it where the sun don’t shine lol a sport with a balanced international and domestic scene is preferable to all but with attitudes like yours no wonder why everyone hates us haha. We have to learn to pick our battles wisely. Thank god you don’t lead the BCCi

I have always maintained that going to a crowded book inauguration show was callous on their part. They should be held accountable for this act. That is one aspect The other aspect is about the host board providing adequate safety to the guests after assessing the ground realities of its own country. I don't expect the English cricket team to fend for themselves when they tour India. It is NOT the ECB's responsibility to look after them. Nor are they supposed to be experts about the ground realities in India. SIMILARLY, the ECB should look after the Indian cricket team when they tour England. Do the BCCI subject the English cricketers to the exact same treatment as an ordinary citizen of India, when they tour ?? Far from it ... and it is because they are guests who are not used to the conditions like the normal residents. Similarly, the Indian cricketers should be looked after with extra care by the ECB because they are guests. If Covid risk is there, secure bubbles should be provided to all touring teams to all countries. Suhaan 1

He could have said sorry boss I’ve got to maintain my distance but thanks for gesture. Did ECB force him to get close to the fan? Do players themselves not have some common sense? Do they need a nanny to watch their every move? I repeat the BCCI and players agreed to continue their tour knowing there weren’t any bio bubbles as per UK government guidelines on restrictions. the England players were kept in a more serious bubble in india because things were very bad at that time. Right now UK is relatively ok so you can’t compare the two situations. How risky it is is a subjective opinion. You can keep harping the same thing again and again, if you don’t live in the uk then you don’t know the ground realities. Facts can’t be changed
