India need to have Plan A & B for the below ;- 

1. Do not let Imad bowl well in PP -  Someone needs to take him Down . Ideally a leftie ,  they could have used Ishaan but i doubt he will be selected . KL may have to try by coming down a bit rather than waiting on backfoot .

2. Plot dismissal of Fakar -Avoid spinner Jaddu against  him. Use Bhumra, Shami, Shardul(bowl cutters away from stumps) & Varun in that order 1 over each when he comes to crease. 

3. They will bring Hafeez vs Lefties in MO (Pant, Jaddu). See that we have left right combo  as far as possible in MO.

4.  Do not allow PAK to get beyond 160-170.

5. Wait for slower short ball and slower leg cutter from Hassan and maximise scoring.

6. Rauf/Wasim Jr  & Shadab - should be taken care by SKY, KL. Pant, Jaddu, Pandya with aggressive intent .

7. Pandya, SKY ,KL ,Rohit, Jaddu  should play maximum of spinners . That may mean getting SKY at no.3 .

8. Azam - need overs from Varun, Jaddu & Bhumra. 

9. Do not overdo Short Stuff -Looks like they have prepared better this time for that . 

 

In recent times we have not seen any off spinner playing for PAK , we have seen only SLA & Leggies.  How good they are vs Off spin now?

Tempted to include Ash (good match up vs  Fakar too )  but ASh does not bowl like a pure Offie nowadyas and also Hafeez & Shoib ... 

May be Varun could be safer . I am very sure they will target spinners and we need someone who will defeat their big shot attempts.

Kohli will bowl an over or two when its safe. That should negate the need for a 6th bowler option.

Basically this means, we need to get Kohli out asap when the spinners come on.

 

Which I agree on. India need a strategy to get Kohli out and back to the pavilion quickly.

 

Hitman is good at running out Kohli and should employ this tactic.

Only expectation i have from this wc is giving phainta to these low life paxtanis. If Kohli loose this time he needs to kicked out form captaincy.

Kohli's best chance of winning an ICC cup as a captain was in June and he choked it royally. There is no chance for India in this tournament.If they reach semis that should be an achievement.
