neel roy Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 Good analysis.. bumrah umran tyagi siraj in 4 yrs down the line will be tough to face for any team.. Just an observation.. his foot pounds the pitch.. i saw even foot marks being created… hmm day 4 day 5 in overseas test.. ashwin jadeja lurking..half of pakistani spinners still thank Waqar for getting them those wickets and the last test in oval showed how important footmarks are. Vilander Posted October 7, 2021 Posted October 7, 2021 After reading the title and the video title I initially thought Imran Malik brokedown in the middle of the match while bowling. Good work with title there.

Worried it may hurt his foot lmao. I hope he doesn't put too much pressure on his foot while landing.

I denoted in bold thick line. To have perfect position, bowling arm should be over right leg which is very difficult for side on knee dominant bowlers because of not so great preturn. Regarding ball release point, it depends on the length of the ball. Short ball will be delivered late so release will be from forward position while Yorker or full length ball length ball is delivered early from higher point. It's such basic stuff being sensationalised by these twitter analysts. Just creating some angles and drawing some random lines doesn't make you a great analyst. Edited October 10, 2021 by rkt.india
rkt.india Posted October 10, 2021 Posted October 10, 2021 Now let's talk about the fourth part of that pic. If he calls himself an analyst, how can he call this a great position! Right arm is over left leg. This position will lead to stress fractures of the back.

Bowling should be in this line. Side on bowlers struggle with smooth preturn that's why their alignment isn't right most of the time and it's a very difficult thing to achieve for them. Yes, head and back position dictates your arm position. If back is straighter towards batsman or wk, it will help in arm being in right position or should I say arm position affects the alignment of the back and all these positions are affected by backfoot rotation.

That guy is just creating lines on his actual positions, without understanding the right position, like those positions are making him bowl quick.

Easy to figure out difference between real science and pseudo-science. BTW real experts do not go around shouting 'I am the expert' and mocking other experts. Try harder.
