Pujara Kohli aren't going anywhere at this point. Gill can replace Rahane. They picked wrong baba. Indrajith averages 50 in FC cricket, not aparajith.

Baba Aparajith over Indrajith to me feels like a right call. Aparajith can bowl very good quality off spin and is a good enough FC batsman. We need to promote these multi dimensional players rather than specialists.

Bit indrajith is a better batsman. You first need to look at prime skill than secondary skill, especially for FC and test matches.

Tbh, doesn't matter. It's easier for openers to bat in middle order in test cricket. Rahane was an opener too. Pujara as well.

i understnd Prithvi is a bigger player, more experienced as a captain than Priyank Panchal so was wondering on what grounds is priyank the captain?

Prithvi is a new kid on the block compared to Panchal a domestic veteran.  Has been to several A tours.

Abhimanyu was criticised by many..kinda raises doubts about him ??

Sarfaraz is a fat fellow....he is crafty but he eats a lot of wada Pav. Not Sure if he manages to grow up to represent INDIA in tests or ODI's , yes T20 , He definitely can.

Gowtham is a fair batsman and a spinner who has to Improve.

SAINI , Umran are most welcome and Hope they use this to step up. they have been recognised.

Arzan is a left arm trundler ,why was the other left arm pacer Nattu not picked ahead of him?

Ishan Porel...i just saw him as a tall trundler, i am not excited about him

why did they not sharpen Umesh's skills and let him go to africa with saini and umran. saini and umraan would have learnt and umesh also improved. ishan wont play in indian test 11 in future too.

Maybe because Umesh has a slightly bigger challenge of playing test matches vs NZ around the same time?

when Umesh yadav comes in contention to play in a TEST Match, he has to be in full form and in rhythm.

 

only in full Peak form , he can challenge Siraj, Avesh, Prasidh, BOOM and SHammi else he is way behind all of them. this was an opportunity to get him some time to bowl. Had he took truck load of wickets in A matches , we would know he is peaking...
