Losing tosses aside, Kohli isn't a bad captain in tests. His tactical shortcomings aren't exposed that much in tests, as there is more time to make amends. He is good at riling up the opposition and unlike most Indian captains fully backs his pacers. 

 

India have been losing overseas due to rotten luck with the tosses, poor batting and lack of match practice.

Absolutely. Match practice for sure. Also I feel we slack off vs Kiwis. We don't want to try as hard vs them. Not fired up. I am hoping things change now. The Indian team that dismantled Australia would annihilate Kiwis in kiwi land. 

 

Nha honestly kohli is a mediocre test captain too. His selections are downright atrocious. He mistreats everyone I the team. Calling them MC BC. Rahane doesn't do that. He treats everyone with respect. Under kohli everyone tries to play safe for their spot. Mainly his selections ruins us in certain games.

Bhai all Test seniors are taking a rest despite this series being in the WTC cycle and NZ the current WTC champions are touring- this is the importance they give to tests.. they wont rest during IPL though

Again for this series they will go with Ashwin and Jadeja to bowl out opposition on rank turners.. whats the point of strengthening batting.

Think about it.. Pant was already discarded and ready to be thrown out.. he made re-appearance thanks to the all time great batting performance we gave at Adelaide. Essentially, we have not groomed any wicket keeper after Dhoni and the likes of Pant or Kishan just came along thanks to the 1.2 billion population we have..
