Lost the one off test in England too. We were leading the series 2 - 1 under Kohli - Shastri.

Incredible resume, only in India could someone with these results get a contract extension.

For me the highlight of all these disasters is being so stubbon and not exploring new options to build not only a strong team but a strong squad.

His biggest mistake is not bringing in young players when India are doing well and winning especially in India to groom them to perform away. Instead kids are only picked for away tours and naturally when and if they fail they are not seen again for years.

Dravid's choice of new players is usually poor too. Does not seem to have an eye for new talent

Moreover, his choice of bowlers have often been disastrous. Does not want multi-condition bowlers and usually chooses bowlers based on their batting ability or ability to bowl with the new ball.

Overall, he is not reading the game that well these days.

Dravid by definition was The Wall and with that comes a very passive defensive mindset.

No surprise that his choices ate selection are conservative. He is far different to the aggresive nature  say of Ganguly back in the day.

A bowler that can bat is a conservative mindset, you have said it before, the first 3 bowlers selected need to be your best wicket takers above everything else, ignore economy.

His crowning achievement would have been the test loss in Bangladesh. Unfortunately Iyer and Ashwin ruined his moment.

If not for the clutchness of Axar, Jaddu, Ash we would have lost the home series against Aus as well, that too badly like 0-3.

Please add the England loss to your list.

His " impressive " resume should not be diluted.

These results would have been forgivable and even understandable with a young team that has just started playing together. Not with the boatload of 30+ ttfs and past their peak players we have who are not being phased out.

Over and above all of that, there is no clear indication on what he is adding as a coach to the team or to any player individually. You'd expect at least one or 2 batsmen to have improved their technical flaws but there has been no sign of that either. We got fooled into thinking he will be an out of the box maverick based on what he achieved with the junior teams but it appears we have been deceived.

I hope some bcci officials (who are 'serious' about reviving Indian cricket) go through this forum and also go through this thread in particular to learn about Dravid's resume.  Alternatively, someone on this forum may take this initiative and post/share his impressive resume on SM (incl twitter) as much as possible.    Truly, Indian cricket is in dire straits despite Bcci being the richest board.  It really hurts to see our cricket taking such a nosedive.
