vvvslaxman Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 One of the worst beamer i have seen in recent times. It is almost like throw the ball at someone directly. Wood to Travis Head.
vvvslaxman Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 That was some nasty ball at him. Head took it sportingly.

vvvslaxman Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 Australia is trying to bat England out of the series.
putrevus Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 England had a sniff at 195/5 but Head has removed any such chance. You need bowlers to hold one end.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
diga Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 What a selectorial call by George Bailey... Khwaja was scoring bucket loads of runs and instead they went for Travis Head. He justifies it with one of the fastest 100. Wish our selectors too went on gut instincts instead of raw statistics ... last captain to do that was Ganguly
putrevus Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 India in recent years have not been able to cash in on tiring bowlers. They have been far too defensive and middle order has not helped at all.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Vijy 1

After his horror show in 1992 tour, nobody thought he would ever play for India again. He had a fantastic debut.

So the lower middler order batsmen often times would play some reckless shot and throw his wicket away. that is what happened in WTC final. Both Pant and Ashwin were in absolute command. Suddenly both got out to ridiculous shots fearing there is not much batting to come.
Nikola Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 England might drop wood & leach in next test match. Anderson, Broad, Robinson, Woakes & Stokes might play in pink ball test match which will be pretty good attack and england's best chance to win match in the series. Vijy 1

Sgattick10 Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 Tbf Wood has bowled well, without much luck.

That is where they missed the trick. Once the ball got older their attack wilted. Robinson bowled really well maintaining a great channel. But bit short though.
Lone Wolf Posted December 9, 2021 Posted December 9, 2021 England lacked control with the spinner. Ashwin did a amazing job for us at MCG & Sydney & even in Adelaide. Sundar despite being a novice bowled tightly at Gabba. Ashwin will surely play at Centurion this time & that pitch helps spinners to an extent. Last time we dropped too many catches off him. Hopefully we break the Centurion jinx this time. First Asian team to win at the venue Vijy 1

England is playing a guy like Leach. We sit a guy like Ashwin out lol Ashwin is more of a wicket taker than containing job, so Jaddu does better job than Ashwin in this aspect when pitch is not favorable to spin bowing..

High time we use spinners as an attacking option even overseas. He had Smith all at sea in Australia. May be a reason why Jaddu regressed as a bowler.

SA is test for Ashwin to prove he is equally potent in non-spinner friendly condition.

Yes, he might look dangerous against us this series becz we have a non existent middle order currently. Olivier is as good as Abbott. His figures are just as good. Rabada is class. Nortje is better than philander. Philander is a one trick Pony. Plus they have sturrman who is philander incarnate and can bat.
