proved to be a comfy win in the end. raghuvansh looks pretty good - maybe not jaiswal, shaw, gill level, but certainly a promising bat. and he is only 16 unlike some who were 17-18. dhull also looks to have a good temperament. bowling was solid but 5th and 6th bowlers are not convincing. need to have players recover from covid and or injuries.

Raghu seems he played a good steady anchoring role to guide the team to victory chasing a small target which was good. Going off only the scoreboard, I didnt see the game.

Any fast bowlers you liked? This is a problem for India.

usual suspects discussed on this thread. Hangu is pretty rapid and quite accurate, although he was a bit off today. Kumar is trundler (no surprise with that surname), but seems to be quite skilled. bawa has looked sharp in some deliveries, floaty in others. the good thing is that hangu and bawa can bat pretty well.

India-Australia will be a very good match, looking forward to it. Indian spinners might trouble Australians , they play pace very well.

good enough pacers will trouble any team. see what happened in the last 2 times india played australia in U19 WC:

I would not write off Indian pacers yet, even though they might not be as impressive as Mavi-Nagarkoti-Porel and Tyagi-Akash.

Indian pacers are quality in long formats. tests. In LOI we do have talent but we dont give enough exposure due to seniority Complex and political state quota bias. All our coaches will favour their state people over more deserving players.

We are only playing two pacers and one batting seam alrounder in Bawa. Bawa isn't as good as the other two. Injury to Vasu Vats has created a problem. They have Garv Sangwan too and he looked good against Ireland. Rishit Reddy and PM Singh Rathore have also reached but are in quarantine. My preferred pick was Ayush thakur and Vijay Kumar who weren't picked.

yes, I am aware of the limitations of this attack. however, I was responding to the notion that one needs spin to win against Aussies. good pace bowling can/will do the job in U19.

2020 was bang average...  Except Jaiswal & Bishnoi there weren't too many standouts.

2016 batch should have been winners.  That team was solid.

You are talking about players who had the potential to take it to next level,i meant at u19 level

2020 batch had very good pace attack to make up for other deficiency,Ankolkar the spin AR was quite good then

This side bats deep, bowling is good, well rounded squad

Sushant Mishra, Kartik Tyagi were standouts too.

Yeah they both did well.  Actually batting was shambolic.  Even current batch has better batsmen compared to that one.

2016 side was good,we faltered only in final against WI otherwise that team was great. Kishan,Pant,Sundar,Avesh,Sarfaraz are some names which I can remember. Agree 2018 was the GOAT.

Nothing comes close to under 19 2018 goat team. Seriously. Waa by far the best team I have ever watched play in under 19 level. Just ruthless aggression. Relentless. Just like Indian test team from 2015-2021.
