30 is the age where a lot of batsmen attain their peak. It is better if he focuses on achieving some consistency. He cannot get out to single digit scores every other innings.  You should have a couple of 1000 run in a calendar year now. Some big series. Next 2 years are crucial. He has to focus more on his batting. Captaincy is an additional burden for him. Not that he is good anyway.

... not to mention the multiple injuries.  His lack of consistency can also be attributed to being hurt off and on, especially at the beginning of his career. It is tough to achieve consistency without consistently being available.

Both in England and SA he started the series well. Then he regressed badly as the series progressed. This is the most crucial phase of his career.

Came to know today that Joe Root and Kela were in the same U19 batch for their respective teams.    One became a test legend and other is still trying to portray himself as a 31 yr old youngster.

Well ,he did comeback strongly in the 3rd odi.   Scored 30 off 46 balls at an impressive SR of 65 against the mighty Zimbabwe.  :two_thumbs_up:

Kela never reached top 10 ODI rankings in his career. Best is 24. Shai hope currently ranks 16th lol Even Alex carey has had better rankings in his career. Currently ranking 23rd.
