In this series top 3 failed and the team management didn't help matters by playing 3 players ie  Ishan,Pant,Dhawan to partner Rohit

Ideally Kishan should have got to open in the 3 matches but the team management made it appear that Dhawan had birthright to open

Against a week west indies team the Virat  should have rested .He has failed in all the matches.

 

Team management should consider an attacking batsman to open,whose role should be to bat at a good strike rate.

 

What the team management has gained by playing the Superstars in top 3 in bilateral matching against a weak team

4-6 will also be between Rahul, Pant, Sky, Shreyas and Hardik. Live with that.

 

7 will be Jadeja and his backup will be Washington Sundar and Axar Patel. Live with that.

 

8 will be DC or ST. Live with that.

 

9 and 10 will Bumrah and between Siraj Prasidh and Shami. Live with that.

 

11 with be Chahal. Live with that although I personally can't.

 

Now, it is upto you to decide whether you want to live or not. Personally, I would prefer to live long enough to become a villian.

Everything is sorted ,they choose such players who can easily be dropped when the superstars returns.

 

 

Inspite of debut 100 Shreyas Iyer was out ot the team for continuous failing Rahane and Pujara.

 

It would not be surprising to see Siraj ,Prasidh on bench for Bhubaneshwar,Ishant,Umesh

Young doesn't mean better. 

For example as of now Dhawan is easily better than Ishan Kishan in Odis and Shreyas Iyer is average.

I have no problem with a player over 35 in the team if he is performing well and is not on a decline.

 

However, India cannot carry so many older players, because overall they are a liability.

Dhawan may be better, but in the medium short term, Kishan and Iyer will be better options if given game time.

Mark my words, Dhawan will be in steep decline by the time the WC comes around.

Ok Dhawan is better. But Kohli is worst he should be thrown out from loi, kishan can bat at first down as well. BTW one match against wi and kishan is bad than Dhawan, let Dhawan face better attacks he ll be exposed at this age.

The way Kohli is playing, especially in this series, he looks like the weakest batsman but the problem here is that we can't risk dropping Kohli, his ceiling is higher than all other batsman put together. 

If he comes back to form which no one can rule out except some idiots, he will be the most valuable player.

Lol it's been 2 years when he is coming to form. He has already been given long rope than his aukaat. He is not technically good that he can compensate his hand eye issue with the technique, he is done only an andh bhakt would expect that he ll score his 71st hundred and win the wc.He is not at all needed in any format bcci have burst that bubble for bhakt by firing him from captaincy same needs to be done as a player. He is only needed to an extent in test or else he is done no great batsmen had such a bad decline.

It's not like we are lacking in options. one of top 3 should be around for "experience" purposes. I'd rather have rohit, who can captain. however, he should ideally not open, but should play as consolidator at 3 or 4.

 

gaekwad, gill, shaw need to be in the team --> preferably all 3 in top 3.
