Considering the 2022 (Aus) & 2024 (WI & USA) T20 WCs, which one (or two) is the better bet and therefore should be given more opportunities? Below are pros & cons of each player:

Gaikwad

  • Pros: Good against both pace & spin. Plays bounce well.
  • Cons: Can take some time to get going. Can bat only in the top order (#1-3).

Gill

  • Pros: Good against both pace & spin. Plays bounce well.
  • Cons: Coming to terms with the format. Can bat only in the top order (#1-3).

Hooda

  • Pros: Good against both pace & spin. Plays bounce well. Can bat anywhere in the line up. Can bowl an over or two. Not stats focused so far.
  • Cons: None observed so far apart from needing more games to gain experience & improve himself further.

Kishan

  • Pros: Good against spin. Can bat anywhere in the line up. Can keep.
  • Cons: Can struggle against pace & bounce. Can take some time to get going.

Shaw

  • Pros: Attacking batsman. Can utilize powerplay. Not stats focused so far.
  • Cons: Can struggle against bounce. Below average fielder.

S Iyer

  • Pros: Good against spin.
  • Cons:  Can struggle against pace & bounce. Can take some time to get going. Can bat only in the top 4.

V Iyer

  • Pros: Attacking batsman. Can utilize powerplay. Can bowl an over or two. Not stats focused so far.
  • Cons: Can struggle against pace & bounce. Average fielder esp. catching under pressure.

All are poor batsman. We have mediocre overrated t20 team on whom we unnecessarily waste our time on. The first thing is to accept and not be deluded enough to ask rating 6 mediocre players and who is better between them. No point discussing these stuffs.

We should only waste our time on test cricket and enjoy and hype IPL so that we enjoy and then try to get into the nerves of Pakistanis in all the forums lol.

Added Gill, who could be on the rise in this format, to the mix ... Apart from Gill, there are Samson, Tripathi, & Agarwal as well who may be considered later by selectors depending upon their form and consistency

Kishen- Big yes

Match winner - like Umran will have extreme days and like him on his days he ll runaway with the game

Left hander- Need them in our lineups

Concern - Works mostly on good true batting wkt but thats what australia is . Apart from that off spin is an issue but everyone will have that one issue . Lateral movement wo to sabki hai

Good bowling lineups in international cricket will find it very easy to exploit his weaknesses.

He also gets stuck quite a lot, can't even imagine him playing against the Aussie trio, Boult-Lockie and Shaheen.

his weakness is lack of adaptability, Aus men kya problem.............Mazzedar batting wkts hai wo. He doesnt enjoy slow, two pace pitches not going to be a problem in Aus

And anways every one has issue u need to look for the best among them acc to condition n team combination . Gill, rutu, shaw they all have their share of problems

Kishan needs loose bowling to score, he isn't good enough against quality bowling attacks. That's because he is not talented. Can't change that.

Shaw and Gill have unreal ability, they have fair share of problems as of now but inability to score against quality attacks isn't one of them

Thus Kishan will fail mostly in big games against good opponents while he will make merry against weaker teams, that's not the same with Gill and Shaw.

shaw has too much downside too him compare to kishen as of now . Yes shaw is qualitatively a better batsman but on current returns in t20 format kishen has more pros .

Gill is not an impact player, ill have him but not in comparison to

In a big game u actually need players like kishen who can set them on back foot

As far big games goes our top 3 has been quite poor and kishen anyways wud just be in backups

most of them are mediocrities sadly in T20s. that's because most of these batters trained in FC/tests and List A/ODIs and have that mindset. need to unearth genuine T20s experts who understand and adapt as per the demands of the game. they do not need to be "great" test/ODI players. what we need are so-called "hacks" like Tim David, who may look like ugly sloggers but can score at 160-200 SR at an avg of 25 or so.
