We have tried specialist bats like Vihari, Gill, Karun, Padikkal at #3. All failed. In fact since 2019 our #3 averages around 25, minnow level.

No it has not changed, you want your number 3 to be one of your best batsmen.

Even Bavuma was damn slow. Failure is on those who didn't make any mark, like Jaiswal, KL, Pant. had each of them scored 10 runs, we would have won.

You keep trying, India doesn’t lack batsmen that they need to play this guy at number 3.

First blame goes to Coach for packing team which is so unbalanced , batsmen get out cheap all the time that is why you have multiple batsmen.

 

Sundar and Jurel got starts they let pressure build on them and got out.Bavuma did not that is the difference.

 

Why they got out is simple, they never should have batted at number 3 and 4. They are not number 3 and 4.
