Bhuvneshwar Kumar in T20Is since 2021: 20.3 avg, 6.74 eco

Very happy with his return, if he keeps bowling well we have our 2nd all phase bowler. Bhuvi has been avg in ODI but damn good in t20s before his injuries started. I still dont think he is bowling at his best but yet these are excellent numbers. 2 all phase bowler gives us great flexibility  in making bowling combination

Not sure Aus wickets will help him much too.

I dnt know where that myth comes from , swing is in air and he is an all phase bowler which means he has variations . This is the same kind of ball he has used against finch in Aus. Under light ball always swings

Guys like Praveen kumar, irfan, balaji, kulasekra, mohit sharma all have done well in Aus

White ball doesnt swing for long anymore. In England,NZ etc the cooler conditions aid movement. Aus is more pace and bounce friendly

Not sure he can nail yorkers like before too. Not seen it lately. Mostly uses knuckle ball in death.

I don't mind him but feel Deepak Chahar can give similar returns if not better while being better fit for no. 7/8

England n Nz have been on flattest side mostly

White ball swings for 3-5 overs max now days which is enough in t20 coz by the time a bowler is done with his 2 over spell in t20.

In Aus , same bowler who can swing anywhere gets pace n bounce from pitch and becomes from lethal as compare to Eng and Nz where pace n bounce is lesser then Aus .

IPL happens in April may and their these guys have swung the ball enough

anyone who says it doesnt swing in australia watch this spell - this guy swung the ball till11 th over and that time we use to have just one new ball

ye he has been very effective in t20 at death , he has enough variation in slower ones as well not not just knuckle ball. Not to fogret variation isnt just about type of ball its length to

Yorkers will get better fitness n rhythem

Deepak chahar like umran , prasidh isnt an all phase bowler...............surely he doesnt leak runs like other 2 in his weak phase but bhuvi is an all phase bowler.

Deepak has 2 advantage over bhuvi- he takes wkts in cluster unlike bhuvi and has batting too

Exceptions will be there. I'm sure even in India such spells are there, doesn't mean Indian pitches are known to be swing friendly.

In Aus hard lengths will be required at pace

Avesh,Arshdeep,Nattu and even Siraj are all phase bowlers too. Most of them can bowl hard lengths, specially Avesh.

With new ball we'll need wickets and Deepak fits that well.

thats in middle overs, newyas we dont have many options for that

Bhuvi is proven performer with that in all phases

nattu doesnt bowl hard length neither arshdeep does it much

Avesh is mighty inconsistent , our best bet for that role is umran and to play umran u need 2 full phase bowlers

Its not exception its evidence and lets not forget Praveen kumar in CB series also who was slower then bhuvi

In india they have swung the ball many days which shows swing is in air mostly and pitches just provide zip to that ball- add pace bounce to swing it becomes better . Under lights white kookabura will always swing. We mix test and ODI, yes u cant do well with such military medium bowlers in test but LOI are diff ball game.

In a place like sydney it will swing or turn in test but the wkt is slow so batsman get time to adjust as compare to other pitches where it gives the extra kick

Your OP here dismissed him.

yea becoz he wasnt bowling and struggling with fitness most importantly

Now he has been playing non stop without any fitness issue. If he develops fitness problem againt

usme i have clearly mentioned

Bhuvi - as of now everything seems down for him

which meant as of now form fitness swing pace everything is down- in that situation why wud anyone pick him

Can't believe it. There are actually people who love trundlers. But atleast this fellow can swing the ball so that's good. He can also use seam movement. Good stuff bhuvi.

.I am happy with him and bumrah in tandem with umran. Rest can be chahar and thakur or harshal whatever. We don't need specilaist spinners in Australia unless they are quality leg spinners. Chahal is not that guy.

Slightly offtopic, but if we see stats from 2021 or even 2020,most of the team selects itself

Here are the numbers since 2020

Rohit : 33@146

Rahul : 36@136

Kohli : 44@136

SKY : 32 @169

Hardik : 35@ 147, bowling 34@8.7

Jaddu : 209@166,bowling 20 @6.8

Bhuvi : 19 @6.67

Bumrah : 17 @5.44

Chahal : 28 @ 8

Only one who misses is Pant but that might be correct with opening

for 3rd pacer slot

Harshal : 21@8.5

Avesh 25 @ 7.3

Siraj 30 @ 7.6
