Also, looks like Deepak Chahar is no more in contention. He seems to invest 2022 fully on a personal front.

 

With Jadeja at 7, it would be unlikely for Kuldeep to get into the best XI. He could have partnered Yuzi had D Chahar batted at 7.

he might replace Harshal once fit.

 

Kuldeep will be a backup to Chahal, cant see both playing in Aus unless its a slow pitch. Actually surprised Kuldeep hasnt played after a very good IPL

He was injured,his selection for Windies T20 is subject to fitness

No because India already have Bhuvi and they won't play Bhuvi and D Chahar in same team. D Chahar and Harshal can play in same team if D Chahar bats at 7. But at the moment he doesn't seem into any contention and Bhuvi has solidified his place also.

 

Kuldeep was injured which is why Axar got long run. They didn't had options after IPL with injuries of Kuldeep, Sundar and Jadeja.

DK has improved but picking him is not futuristic. He has had many opportunities and i am convinced he wont suceed against top bowlers in australia and even if he does , we need young folks for future.

harshal is not worth playing for India.

not too sure if arshdeep is worth playing for an Indian XI but yes he deserves one or 2  opportunities to prove his point.

I dont know why axar is picked..he fails as a bowler and as a batsman. he did get some wickets in a test in ahmedabad but that was a track customised for him. no point picking him when his better breed jaddu is available.

Axar batted beautifully yesterday, no doubt but he has been failing for such a long time , hardly scoring 30 runs and his bowling has also been average , he looks as a cheap replacement to Jaddu and can be selected only when jaddu is unavailable.

 

he played very well yesterday but still he is not the right pick for SENA and even in west Indies. i would stick to my word.  we should take the opportunity and groom good fast bowlers like umraan, few international matches more and he is likely to improve big time ( 150K+ bowler with line n length can get any batsman out).
