Batting first we have a 12-3 record under Rovid! I feel KL and Kohli will come in and spoil the party. We should not repeat the same top3. Naming Kela VC makes him automatic selection. That leaves Kohli , he can bat #4 or push Kela to #4

Don't think this team would think on those terms i.e conserving wickets in power play. I think mandate from Rohit is to express themselves from ball 1...so expect bang bang from get go. That is why I think they wont open with KL Rahul

KL will open unless they wanna unsettle opposition or he doesnt follow the mandate to attack

kuldeep doesnt bowl much in PP  which has gone against him and in Ashwin favour

Even in IPL he was mostly bowling in middle overs. Infact he hasnt bowled a single over from 2018 in PP in t20

 

Cant have so many spinners who cant bowl in PP

yea thats why is said u cant have so many who cant- chahal, jadeja, kuldeep that wud be a one dimensional attack 

 

But but but  chahal bowls in PP 

 

From 2018 he has bowled 20 overs in PP in international and 38 in IPL and t20 domestic 

So chahal has 58 overs in PP as compare to kuldeep 0 overs in PP from 2018

why is economy a bad thing in t20 ?? As far wkts go any one can get them in bulk as lottery in t20

So can umran. 

kuldeep also can have extremely bad days and his confidence is extremely fragile .

but when u make a team u consider every option , u consider how much value a player can bring . U look for extra value in no confirmed players 

 

U cant have all 3 spinners as middle phase bowlers , jadeja is all rounder so he escapes 

Bishnoi offers speed in spin attack and bowls in PP and somewhat is still unknown 

Ashwin is an all phase bowler who also offers a bit with batting, ashwin eco was better this IPL as compare to kuldeep despite ashwin bowling in PP and death too

if Mohd Wasim plays..he and Naseem will open the bowling..they both try to bring balls in at pace..so initially Indian not-in form top battters..may have to be little watchful..and then after assessing pitch\movement start hitting them..else they are candidate of lbw..esp since they are not in form

Haha..Recovery from that 10-3 will mean something like 150-160 is totals..like last WC against match Pak..then its on the bowling..

I feel its good to talk about that but we also need to ensure if our bowling can defend those kind of totals with or without dew..or else they have to recalibrate what kind of totals we need to end up with from 10-3.

if we are bowling first, don't worry about the result, we will win easily.. infact we will probably win all the games against Pak this year ( since Kohli isn't captaining)
