Pandya won his team a T20 World Cup!

There was no "too" in this discussion - it was a blanket Pandya did this exclamation mark and all.

Pandya did well too (took 3/20 including the key wicket of the dangerous Klassen in the final for e.g.). No harm in being sporting and giving him credit too.

Now "too" has entered the discussion. Ok.

But with Bumrah and Arshdeep giving him 14 or 15 to defend in the last over and the first ball probable six stolen by SKY by that once in a lifetime catch - and he made it look so casual and easy - to give a wicket to Pandya .......

That is why that "too" is a must.

Klassen wasn’t out in the last over, Miller was!

I said it then and I will say it now, Pandya got some lucky wickets in the final, none of them were actually planned or on good balls.

I cant remember a single performance in this world cup where he was the main man, a couple of supporting performances with good luck.

He doesn't know how to attack good pace as demonstrated in Ind vs Pak against Rauf (when Pandya was well set), the only thing he can do is attack against full balls in the slot or play that arrogant upper cut, thats it.

Lance Klusener is 10 levels ahead

every tournament he can own padosis with his bouncers or even with his batting. I am ok with him continuing just on that principle.

yes he is no Lance Kluesner but he is a must in limited overs even more so in T20 for India.

however sure, after the high of wt20 win, I think he is diminishing. With his fitness and technical flaws I feel his bowling and batting will only decline from here, but I think he has 1 last cycle left in him where he will have 1-2 important performances.

also the other options seem no where close to him in quality.
