But we've bigger problems at 4 (Kohli) and 5 (KL). We can't expect lower order and bowlers to clean their shyte everytime. Take out Jaiswal and we have a non-existing batting lineup! Cannot have a technically deficient batter coming at #3 and then #5 who lacks the guts. This will be more or less be the situation everytime in testing conditions. Never see such a laggy Ind batting line-up. Even Pujara and rahane are looking good now. Manucrick and Ultimate_Game 2

Our "seniority" culture has truly f***ed us. Despite proving in 2020-21 Test series in Aus that you don't need experience and can win without has beens, we're back to the same spot, i.e. we need "eggsperience" Suhaan, raki05 and Manucrick 2 1

I've a feeling he'll flourish too if 4 and 5 are replaced. Was good vs Eng too.

I've high hopes for him too for Aus series. But if he doesn't perform there, he has to be kicked out. Way too many chances for minimal returns yet.

They got way more chances, especially Kela Manucrick 1

singhvivek141 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 What is the molecular structure of this "thin ice" ? KL is walking on it since last 2 years, yet he always find a way to survive. Ultimate_Game 1
bowl_out Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Walking on thin ice is what you would want to think, but the TM doesn't think that way at all Ultimate_Game 1

Meritocracy and performances have been replaced by seniority and experience. The seeds were sown when Karun Nair was discarded right after scoring a triple hundred. Now the situation's a joke. You discard a player for non-performance (KL Rahul) and he walks right back after a couple of series despite no performances. And likes of Sarfaraz and Jurel who performed at domestic level and intl level when given an opportunity, are back to languishing on the sidelines. New guy 1

vvvslaxman Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 In the commentary, Harsha, Tamim, Ravi, DK , Murali Kartik all were in consensus Kela is a mental midget lol They just didn't use that word. But they hyped him so much. But also they pointed out that he didn't live up to his "potential". Suhaan 1

He was on thin ice at the start of the England series but not anymore , he’s on quite thick sheet of ice now. New guy 1
