What 'romantic crap' has Karan Johar made in the last 5 years?

 

In fact Karan Johar movies have great music and iconic cinematography.

 

GoW type shows/movies are just abuses interspersed with some shooting. Very average fare.

The Bollywood internet crowd are hypocrites. They show never ending outrage at Animal while loving the GoW movies which are equally misogynistic.

If you are making snide references at me, well, I disliked both the movies. 

 

Thing is, as far as typical Bollywood fan thinks, Animal is a slightly stylised and more palatable version of gang fights than GoW.

If the premise that movies are an escapist outlet for our dreamy masses is true, Animal is escapist in the sense that the guns are fancy, the cars are fancy, the language is very Bollywood Punjabi, the fight sequences and songs are also aptly masala.

 

GoW is raw. It is based on a semi urban/rural location with which most people do not associate. And even people from those areas tend to migrate because they've had had enough. Those people tend to like a GoW for nostalgia value.

 

Anurag Kashyap peaked with Black Friday and Gulaal. Everything afterwards was downhill.

I liked GoW more than Animal. It was AK's peak, I would say. Raw and intense, had a feel of Tarantino in it. I wish he had stuck with such movies instead of making political anti-RW proaganda material. I haven't watched any of his movies part GoW. Any good movies after that?

I saw Gulal and remember being it so intense. Dev d was another good movie which was Anurags retake on Devdas. I haven't seen Raman Raghav but I know some people liking it though it didn't do well at the boxoffice.

It is a movie with telugu DNA in a punjabi package and characters speak Hinthiiii.  Yes. Animal in a way is escapist.

Bakwas bad VFX, 90% of film is shot in greens sccreen and everything is fake! 1997 Border was the legendary film as everything was done in real locations with real munitions and tanks and planes.

 

Just using Sunny Deol nostalgia to print money and copy Gaddar 2 formula... Ahan and Varun look so fuddu and uncooked here compared to Suniel Shetty and Akshay Khanna aura as young actors in 1997. They never wanted to make a technically right film like Uri.. just jingoistic overacting and shouting

Sunny Paaji doing shouting and they expect people to call it great acting.

lmao might as well used AI versions of actors too.

 

Dunno if its costlier but real shooting has great feel even if there are no stunts.

No. Film was shot in Dehradun. A big set was created for shooting. Not green screen. Vfx quality maybe bad but saying it was shot on green screen is wrong.

Abe... the scene where ahan shetty was on the ship.. was there a real ship in real waters in Dehradun? Obv its green screen.. the scene where the pilots are dancing in the tarmac.. the background us green scene, the planes are fake, and to top it off they aren't even on a real air strip, the tarmac looks fake too

Dunno why but I find the action and trailer too over the top,usual glorifying of actor,i can already assume he will beat baddies without breaking sweat ,can already see that unless strong word of mouth this movie won't do well in north indian centres with dhurandhar part 2 overshadowing it
