Imran Nazir also had talent. Samson is going to turn 28 in a month's time and has still not shown any improvement in his shot selection and consistency in his batting.

Has Pant shown any improvement in T20?

Umesh's county stint concluded because of a thigh injury apparently.

Agar injury real hai to abhi rehabilitation karwate, aur matches khilwake :love:day lagwalo injury ke.

However if the injury is only on paper then ....

Both Iyer and Samson have issues....Iyer struggles against bounce, Samson is helpless against leg spin.
Iyer is a spin basher, Samson plays pace well.
TM put trust on Iyer so that he can hold the inns and attack spinners (which has been our problems during middle overs).
Samson is more useful at the top (in place of Rahul) where he can play with freedom.

No. But he is backup wicket keeper and certainly better than Samson. Samson's keeping in Zimbabwe was horrible.

I like Pant but his issues against spin in the middle overs of this format are massive. He cant play in the top 3 so right now I don't think he makes it.

I'm guessing no Mohsin or Khaleel for SA series either.

Iyer is practicing Pull shot. This guy has a good percentage game. A reason why manages to be consistent. If he can find a way to negotiate short stuff he will be an asset in the One dayers. Not sure about T20s though. Better than short fuse Samson if you ask me.

Bumrah, Arshdeep and Harshal will be the bowling attack for first ODI.

Looks like a middle overs and death overs attack.

Deepak Chahar would be better instead of Harshal.
