I am not sure why Sanju Samson isn't seen as being ahead of Iyer.  Its not even close.

Imran Nazir also had talent. Samson is going to turn 28 in a month's time and has still not shown any improvement in his shot selection and consistency in his batting.

Iyer average 33 at 136. Samson avg 21 at 135 who should be backed.

If you gonna play Iyer in most of the bilaterals, then he is bound to be the pick. Samson came into scenes only now although on talent level, he could have been given a nod ahead but that should have been done in bilaterals only.
