Now SL will be motivated to get into KOs …   And in group 2, they have a chance

Credit to Namibia but it does look like a tactical loss from SL pov

This more & more looks like a tactical loss...  SL desperately wants to end up in Group 2 & they believe they can beat both Pak & India.

Lankans looked like going through the motions today.

Risky plan. If Namibia loses to Ned and there is 3-way tie, assuming SL beats Ned, this NRR will hurt them and possibly be out of the tournament

Nah! … But this loss can help to motivate SL to get into KOs

It puts potential curtains for India (on the 1st day of the tournament w/o playing a game) as 2 of BD, Pak, SA, SL*, & WI* can take out India’s bowling attack, and there could be a batting failure here and there :hmmm:

I expect SL to beat Ned heavily..  They are a extremely weak associate side.  Even Scotland is a tier above them.

Still no professional team loses on purpose to be a particular group in the next stage. There are only 3 games in the prelims. Besides Nam has beat Ireland too. This was over confidence from SL after winning the Asia cup beating India and Pakistan

Could be but they have a experimental coach in Silverwood...  I won't put it past him.

SL had no chance in Group 1.  Their best possible chance is in group 2.  There is no way they wouldn't have thought about it.

SL trundlers lost the match single-handedly.They scored 68 in last 30. Trundlers have the ability to lose a match in a couple of overs. What happened with SL will happen with Ind too.We have trundlers army.

Chameera kab se trundler ho gaya ???

Well if any team is likely to do this, it's Srilanka.

Were you there when Umran Malik got beaten to all parts of the ground by Ireland batsman?
