It's cheating when you deliberately replace the ball with a newish ball from the previous batch of Dukes which behaved completely differently.

Conniving cheats - that's all Jimmy, Broad and Stokes are.

They requested it. Blame the umpires. Dharmacena and Menon?

Couldn't win at home despite Lyon missing 4 straight games. Why are Poms celebrating so much?

well, they would have if not for rain. and even first 2 tests were close. in this series, Eng did outclass Aus. And Eng was missing some key players through bad selections, whereas Aus mostly (barring 1-2 instances) got them right

‘We will drop at least four players’: R Ashwin on why Bazball can’t work in India

https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/we-will-drop-at-least-four-players-r-ashwin-on-why-bazball-cant-work-in-india-8872748/

Ashwin spoke about why Bazball can work for the English cricket team but is not applicable in the Indian context.

“We are playing Test cricket very well. But we will go through a transition soon. And things won’t be easy during that phase. There will be a few issues here and there. But let’s assume India adopts Bazball during this phase. Let us assume a player throws his bat at everything like Harry Brook and gets out and we lose two Test matches. What will we do? Will we back Bazball and the players?,” asked Ashwin on his YouTube channel.

He then said, “We will drop at least four players from our playing XI. That’s how our culture has always been. We can’t copy others style of play just because it worked for them. It works for them because their management is fully in with this style of play, their selectors back the players to play this way. In fact, even their crowd and Test match watching public are backing the team in this process. But we can’t do this.”

Aus would have shut England out of the last test on day 4 itself if not for rain. So rain helped England too.

Ashwin is 100% right, Bazball cannot work for India.

Gill who was name on everyone's lip is now suddenly has been for  many people .

it is amazing people are now finding issues with Gill after handful of matches. His weaknesses are not new , they could be seen two years ago too.

He has improved in some aspects, he might never be technically correct. How he plays to his strengths will define his career.

the fake ball change was what really helped them, not so much rain.
