Kuldeep should play as the frontline spinner

In all tests from now on, especially overseas! Ashwin is toast, we really need a genuine wicket taker now

The team management needs one reason to drop Kuldeep.

One  bad perfomance and he will be out of squad.

Jadeja will be first choice when he is free from his election duties.

Iam really baffled how the seniors can just take break,rest,vacation and just play in the playing 11.Why the replacement are not such that they can be difficult to remove from the playing 11.

Kuldeep requires smart captain who can use him properly. He should also be tried in ODIs in place of Chahal. Thankfully Rohit is captain in ODIs who is better ( andhon mein kana raja) than other options like Dhawan, Rahul, Chapri (if ever) etc.

Jadeja can play just as a batter, he was our best bat from 6 down in the last 5+ years though his bowling has taken a dip even at home. So really all the more reason to stick to Kuldeep!

Kuldeep is good but he needs to leaen to bat. No excuses. Tail from Aussies and pommies can bat. So yes we should get our tail to learn atleast to slog.

He can bat if you saw this test, he can't throw his hands to score quick runs like Starc but he is in the mold of Cummins. He can easily stay at the wicket if we need to save a test. Also if you look at Ashwin's numbers away - they have been diabolical to say the least & that includes 3 not outs!

Absolutely,

 

He has performed so well in the limited chances he gets. Ashwin was a great bowler for India but now is Kuldeeps time. He also is handy with the bat so we will not miss Ashwin there either

Kuldeep is not Cummins level. Cummins can hit huge sixes in T20 cricket. Kuldeep at best is a #9.

Cummins level at staying at the wicket, or slightly better looking at his FC stats, so when you talk about hitting power of tailenders we really haven't matched Oz since Harbahajan retired & that's going almost a decade back!

2 years late.  I always maintained wristies are your best bet in SENA. Because finger spinners cannot extract bounce like a wristie does.

India went with 4 fast bowlers (all 4 tailenders). So their 5th bowling option had to be a spinning all rounder.

Jokes apart give Kuldeep more games, he probably won't get as much purchase elsewhere in comparison to these BD tracks. Yet he does need to be utilised effectively.

 Captain must be smart enough to use him effectively and hide him under situations not proper for him to bowl. On this pitch he should have bowled more than Ashwin and Axar but to expect brains from Kela is too much.

Kuldeep Yadav should play all tests in Asia. Not difficult as we play 3 spinners.

 

He should be in all LOI squads too. 

 

As for tests outside Asia, we play 4 quicks, so it means that only 1 spinner can play and he is usually an allrounder like Jadeja or Ashwin batting at 7.

Original quartet was  Shami/Bumrah/Ishant/Umesh around the time Kuldeep was at his peak in LOI.  Ashwin was their bowling all rounder for us then

In 2018 series Umesh played if i am right. Pandya left even before that. His career was too short. Right about the time Kuldeep found his strides. After that our tail became longer. Kulcha were weaving magic in LOIs meanwhile. He did get hit around in a couple of matches. Then that IPL fiasco against Moeen Ali.  Kuldeep's own mental issues also played its part.  But in the last couple of years he should have played for us

Hardik hardly played 6 months - from SA to Eng 2018, he was dropped for Oz IIRC. So no he was not the A/R, also Ashwin hasn't batted well away in a long time, no reason why he was preferred over Kuldeep. FFS he scored under 16 runs per innings in the last 5 years 

 

Yes not totally his fault because our tailenders were also really really bad but Kuldeep's extra wicket or two would've surely helped us more!
