Phase out seniors and include Sundar in middle order.

Jaiswal to some extent and indisciplined bowling has disappointed us here

I am glad Washy played with intent yesterday to draw the match. He can play shots as we all saw in Australia but somehow became a blocker maybe it was coaching decision for him to stay at the crease for long period and support other batters.. Whatever it was I hope he plays he acc to the match situation and play his shots in future matches.

No point batting him at number 8 like we did in Aus. If TM sees he is a capable batter, which imo he is, must bat in middle order.

The only positions suitable for Sundar are No.5 or No.6

 

IMO he should not bat higher or lower.

 

Lets see how long he can maintain his fitness. He has mental strength but he still needs to work on both his batting and bowling. I believe yesterday the main pressure was batting the rest of the day with not much batting to follow. But luckily the pitch was not bad and English bowlers are not that good (plus tired). This helped Sundar and Jadeja. Nothing to diminish the massive achievement. Needs lot of concentration, grit and patience to bat the way they batted.

Yes but someone who can bowl 15 overs and seen as a strike bowler.

They don't trust Sundar outside SC as a strike bowler.

We need a no. 3. No reason he can't do it. I see no reason why he's inferior batsman to Sai and Nair
