KL Rahul, Kohli don't deserve to be there. Should be  Jaiswal and Sarfraz.

Nothing will change. We deserve this humiliation.

RGS

IK (No, not that fake pious leader!)

Pujara

Brat

Sundar

Iyer

Jadeja

Ashwin

Axar

Umesh

Shami

KS (12th man)

Remember you can sub the keeper in/out during the test, though you will have to fake an injury or something :bandit:

As usual onus will be on Jaddu/Ashwin and tailenders to bail them out.

+Siraj, Kuldeep/Axar. Rohit is a big mystery. He surprised me against England that day. Can he turn up again? Or a breakthrough series for Prince? At least one batsman needs to have a mad series for us to win.

That Rohit is gone. He was seriously good agianst SA in home series producing 3 big hundreds. Since then his form has regressed slowly.

Rohit

Gill

Pujara

Kohli

Iyer

Sundar

Kishan

Jadeja

Ashwin

Bumrah

Siraj

We need long batting lineup with our top order being in poor form, and this is the best XI that can be assembled from the probable squad without weakening bowling.

What are the odds Rahul making Rahul as keeper

Pretty high, what are the odds that RGS niggles himself out of the series :cantstop:

I am talking about Shami coming in.  Undakutter has full backing of his under-19 batchmate KL Rahul.

1. Rohit Sharma

2. Yashasvi Jaiswal

3. Priyank Panchal

4. Sarfaraz Khan

5. Pant  (otherwise Kishan)

6. Shreyas Iyer

7. Ashwin

8. Axar

9. Kuldeep

10. Shami

11. Bumrah, if fit (otherwise Mukesh Kumar)

We have got to give some credit to domestic performers. As it is Rahul, Pujara and Kohli are all useless in the top order and middle and lower order has had to do all the run scoring work. So, why not give some new folks a run in the team. These guys have been consistently scoring runs in domestics and deserve their chances.

I hope Pant ends up being fit, or else we have a HUGE problem on our hands. There is nobody quite like him. Kishan comes probably a distant second, but I see that Kishan doesn't keep regularly in FC games. In the most recent FC game that Kishan played, he wasn't the keeper. For some reason, even KS Bharath is not the designated keeper in the most recent FC game that he played as well and Sanju Samson doesn't keep as well. Why the heck are these guys not keeping in FC games if they are trying to compete for a Test keeper's spot? :hmmm:

The spinners pretty much pick themselves. Jadeja appears to be injured. If he is fit before the series, he should slot in in place of Axar. Regarding the pacers, if Bumrah isn't fit, we should give a chance to Mukesh Kumar. I haven't seen him bowl as such, except for few Youtube videos I found, but this goes with the notion of rewarding domestic performers. I would have preferred Prasidh for his ability to extract bounce, but Prasidh is also injured.

bharath is a pure keeper who can bat quite well. but I think the order should be kishan > wadkar = bharath > samson

How is Wadkar? He seems to have a good average of 57 in FC cricket. Any idea why he isn't in the A teams?

he is a safe keeper, and a compact batter - does not have a lot of shots, but organized technique and clear head.
