Domestic quadrilateral test tournament

What does ICF think about it ,a tournament between top 4  domestic teams of their countries say a Ranji champion vs Sheffield sheild champion vs county champion vs say NZ domestic or sa domestic champion,i feel it will help our domestic cricket as it will give them more exposure the finalists play at a neutral venue only the top four international test teams domestic team can qualify hence it will push the test team to play better,i also believe we should have drs, Hawkeye for ranji,irani,sma and duleep trophy whats icfers think about this

That happens isnt it,see many domestic players are not part of A setup, international or ipl team either so with this they will have a feel of international cricket, this will also motivate younger players also when you play at neutral venue you get the idea of what their pitches look like

Most players, in the Teams that become Ranji Champions, are not good enough for international cricket.

 

It's better to give international cricket exposure to those who have a good chance of representing India in the future. 

 

4 team Unofficial Test tournament will mean quite a few matches in a year and this does not happen.

To isiliye to ye hona chahiye ki teams know where they stand at international level also this is to improve domestic cricket,when you play them u get the idea of their style of play their training everything,also make it a 3 match affair rank 1 team plays rank 3 team and rank 2 team play rank 4 team,make it a two year affair instead of every year,also one thing that can be done is higher ranked teams get to play in their home country but not at their home ground and finals to be played at a neutral venue.

One or two top players from a few good Ranji sides can form a Top Team India. 

 

And most Team India players then stop playing Ranji.

 

Only a few emerging players remain scattered across teams. Don't forget that there are 38 Ranji Teams. 

 

The Ranji Champion may have just 1 or 2 international class players, if that, but still Team India gets its required players from many such teams.

It is very good idea. venue could be rotated every two years. Ranji trophy players will great incentive along with other teams.

 

Indian test players or India A players are getting enough exposure.

There is too much cricket already ... and there may not be too many takers of such cricket outside India where anything on cricket can be expected to be followed 

 

It can be feasible if current tours such as of A teams are worked into such a competition/league. Where a group of teams play against each other on a home and away basis over a period of 2-4 years.

There is Deodhar trophy @vayuu1

Last happened before Covid I guess.

Also, Duleep trophy which has best teams from four different zones. Their selections are mostly poor though.

deodhar, challenger, irani, and duleep trophies were all useful. now most are non-functional or sporadic
