This is a pathetic joke. Is Sunny so clueless ?? Quote “I feel the way he has batted in the last 1-2 years, he performed well. I feel he should be given one more chance. I'm sure he will be backed for the Test match in Delhi. After that you can give it a thought because you have an in-form batter ready to replace him, Shubman Gill,” he said. rangeelaraja Posted February 12, 2023 Author Posted February 12, 2023 Quote Former India all-rounder Madan Lal, who was part of the conversation as well, reminded batting Vikram Rathour's backing of Rahul in a recent press conference as he sided with Gavaskar. “He should definitely get a chance. Even when Vikram Rathour had come to the press conference he had reminded that he scored a century in South Africa. He does have the ability but he has been out of form lately...scoring against Australia is a big challenge in itself and getting those runs gives a morale boost. But he can been stuck here. However, based on his ability, he should get another chance,” he said. These old farts are clearly a cancer to Indian cricket. Why don't they apply the same standards to Kuldeep, Vihari, Mayank Agarwal ? The rope seems to be exceedingly wrong for trash like Chahal and KL Under_Score, Gollum and raki05 2 1

I feel it is this kind of PR that has helped the BC KL stick around in the squad. This loser is shameless. I wish more former Indian cricketers like Prasad spoke up. This is where I absolutely HATE Sachin Tendulkar and other former legends. They never use their influence to better Indian cricket. Being a diplomatic nice @$$ is more important than using your influence to guide Indian cricket to its true potential. This selfishness is the reason why cricket in India is run like a 3rd world country. It also shows how corrupted the Indian selection process is. Even Pakistan is much much better than us. Atleast they make most use of their relatively limited resources. speedracer, Gollum, raki05 and 2 others 1 3 1

jf1gp_1 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Past performers always get longer rope. Doesn't just happen in cricket but all walks of life. Even i agree with Sunny when selectors named in VC he just had to start series. You dont drop VC after 1st game. He should minimum get 3 games.
gakgupta Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 If my memory serves right....he was the only player making some runs in our test team after Rohit and Pant

Dont get me wrong, i also believe Gill should have opened ahead of Rahul. My point was simple, someone who has done well in past will always get that additional opportunity. There was no way Rahul would not have been in playing XI after he was named VC. Now that team has gone ahead with him then you have to give him this series and then decide. BacktoCricaddict 1

He may be dropped. his performance is as consistent with the bat as a bowling all rounder who scores big once in many opportunities with the bat. hopefully this selector below walks the talk. https://www.insidesport.in/ind-vs-aus-time-running-out-for-kl-rahul-bcci-official-sends-warning-says-there-is-no-rule-vice-captain-cannot-be-dropped-follow-ind-aus-live-updates/ Edited February 12, 2023 by rangeelaraja Under_Score 1

He make one century and goes missing for entire series, making him vc was the biggest forgery. rangeelaraja 1
wanted_desi Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Gavaskar is an Idiot. Few months back he was backing Dhawan over Gill. raki05 1
Number Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 He should have some rest at home. His opinion is still very valuable on batting techniques, that's it.
Lone Wolf Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Can't fathom Gujara was given MoTS over Iyer in BD... Rahul is also a senior hence there will be many backers within these paid BCCI eggsperts. Gujara scored a century on a flat track in Chattogram where a Bangla debutant also scored a second inns hundred. Kela meanwhile failed there too. On a raging Turner in 2nd test both failed but Iyer won the match for us from a losing position along with Ashwin. Absolute joke that both of them are averaging in 20's yet getting picked. raki05, Lord and rollingstoned 1 2
Number Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 He always comes up with these out of touch statements like these. Like Kohli is one of the best slip catchers in the world. Kohli and Pujara are best players of spin in India. Probably age catching up with him. Other than some insights into batting techniques he offers nothing. raki05 1
