Ok - you will excuse me if I look at Kingston Jamaica and the Sabina Park pitch which is at sea level and is one of the fastest in the world.

This whole idea that one has to be in the Himalayas/Alps/Andes to create fast pitches is whatever...

It takes will and as another example, Sri Lanka the emerald isle has as much opportunity to create a fast pitch as Kingston or Bridgetown Barbados or Antigua. But like India they cater to the Muralis and Heraths and Hasarangas.

Sri Lanka is *ig. Hot. Boiling hot. Just like south India. You can't create pitches that are conducive to fast bowling there unless you want them to be in hospital after every game.

Loon at Sabina Park now. Does it look like a fast pitch now?

BTW main reason is weather. It's cooler in carribean compared to India.

Besides, batsmen are worshipped as upper class humans in India.

Bowlers are servants.

That's their mentality. Kapul dev said it himself.

Our much maligned batsmen did set targets of 200+ in fourth innings in T2 and T3 recently in SA but the "pacers" could get only 3 wickets in 2 fourth innings and wasted the efforts of the batsmen.

Pitch became a batting paradise. Our batsmen dint set ****. Who the faq  picks ashwin on a pitch like that. Imbalanced side.

Pitch dint deteriorate. If ghujara a d rahan scored50s then it's obvious it was a good for batting.

Ok what has Bumrah/Shami won in NZ? Or on a neutral ground vs NZ?

What neutral ground? England is very similar to nz in terms of conditions.

Again Wrong selection cost us the wtc. Bunrah was clearly not 100%. They left out a red hot in form siraj in the final and for kiwi tour rofl.

Our batsmen cant handle swing, bounce if its extreme or spin if it turns wild.

Worst batting ever in our entire history.

I know, but if its hot and flat its gonna aid spin more than usual in England. Oval is anyway flatter.

June is not hot in England. In fact, England never gets hot. The warmest month August may touch 30 odd degrees that too only if there's bright sunshine. Temperature will be around 15-18 degrees during the test.

Is BazBall actually succesfull vs big teams in testing conditions? We need to wait for the ashes to know that.

Why should India play Bazball, lol?

did we play Bazball when we defeated them in 2018 and 2021?
Just need a great performance from a couple of players and that should be it. My bet is on Siraj and Kohli

Australia has clearly conveyed that they are not going to indulge in bazball any kind of over-aggressive tactics in Ashes. They are going to play their own style of grinding the opposition to dust.

Hot there is like winter of nagpur. It's like 25°.

They did this in two matches.... "Pitch" is singular. Do you mean "Pitches" as in suddenly pitches in two matches in I4 became batting paradises? Yeah - more like the pacers stunk it up.

Nope. Pitch got flatter. Watch the match again.

Scores kept rising after every innings and pujara and rahane of all people scored quick 50s. That should tell you.

Bowlers well whose fault was that? Pitch was asking for a tall bowler to play. Prasidh should have played. Was screaming for that to happen. Yet we went with spraygun umesh.

Thakur wasn't at his best. Unfit in that series.

This is some high level pitch rigging that goes unnoticed by our clueless fans.

This wasn't like the qnaderers pitch in 2018 where our bowling raped their ass because pitch did deteriorate.

This pitch got flatter and flatter. Classic kiwi esque pitch.

Average temperature over the year in SL

Average temperature in Jamaica

Jamaica is clearly warmer.

It's further away from the equator. Also factor in humidity.

It's no where near the same. I have been to Lanka. It's either hot or extremely hot.

Unless you want bowlers to die or collapse from a heart attack after every game, it isn't an idea place for fast bowling. Just not conducive for fast bowling. Period. Same with south India.

Foreigners would be in the hospital after one ranji game.

Ranji trophy is mostly played during peak Indian winters. Even in South India, temperatures become mild during this time. Jamaica is similar latitude as Hyderabad.

It's will be warm, not hot. Warm and hot are two different things. England never gets hot.

Yea no. South India is hot. Period. There is not part of the season where it's warm. Even winter is hot. Coastal areas like West Indies are much cooler with sea breeze and way less humidity.

Don't forget humidity. That's the worst and the pollution. You forget about that?

India is notorious for pollution level.

Bengaluru is cooler throughout the year though it's near to equator than Hyderabad which has become a boiling furnace these days. Latitude wise I guess Bengaluru is roughly same as Chennai.

I guess having at an high altitude and greenries around help Bengaluru immensely. Chennai and Kochi feels much more hotter and kinda burning heat due to high humidity which is present in almost all coastal towns

Though from Nov end till Jan mid... Hyderabad is warm in the afternoon and gets cooler in the night. So an ideal time to play cricket...heck even Feb mid is manageable.

But this man here compares our weather to west Indies lmao. Not even close

Way better conditions in west Indies. Pollution ans humidity are the real differentiating factor.

south Indian venues like Chennai also has sea breeze, so does Mumbai. Chennai temperature in Jan are mild, max averaging around 30 and min around 20. These are warm but not hot. Hot is one you go 35 degrees plus. Bengaluru is at high altitude so does not get too hot even in summers. we have played test match there even in June. Hyderabad temps are similar to Chennai but min temp is lower than Chennai. So hyderabad too is not hot in Jan.

not really. Places with similar latitude will have similar weather unless high altitude. Caribbean Islands have similar geological position as India. places like Guyana are almost on Equator. All these places are between tropics of cancer and equator very much like all places in India that are below Ujjain where the tropics of cancer passes through in India. Both are subtropical areas. Coastal areas in fact feel much hotter due to high humidity. So caribbean island feel much hotter than Hyderabad even at similar temp like in Mumbai temperatures do not go too high as sea breeze settles in but it feels hotter due to high humidity. places with high humidity will feel 45 degrees even at 35 actual temperature. Same is the case with Caribbean islands.

here is port of spain

The coolest month is February with an average maximum temperature of 30°C (86°F). Which is the wettest month in Port-of-Spain? August tops the wettest month ...

very much like Chennai weather in Jan. here is Kingston Jamaica

The coolest month is January with an average maximum temperature of 29°C (83°F). Which is the wettest month in Kingston? October tops the wettest month list ...

The average maximum daytime temperature in Chennai in January lies at 26.7°C (80.06°F). Usually it is the coldest month of the year. The average minimum ...
