He sucker punched Pant when he was going smoothly. Got hit for 4/6 then he threw one wide even slower found the edge . Vivek92 1
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 This green always looks like getting out to channel bowlers. He is literally stuck on the crease. This weakness will be exploited by bowelrs.
Vivek92 Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Olli Robinson bowling like a taller Sandeep Sharma.
putrevus Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) Kohli with no back foot game and cut shot always played into hands of Ali or Lyon.Even Green looks more comfortable on back foot. Edited June 20, 2023 by putrevus
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 One session 98 runs in 38 overs with 5 wicket sin hand. It is doable. As a comparison to the Gabba test. India needed 98 runs in 19.2 overs with 6 wickets in hand. Pant scored 55 out of the remaining 98 runs
Lone Wolf Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Feels like Carey will play a clutch cameo to complete a tense win for Australia. This guy is probably second best wk batter after Pant already. Saffers wasted a talent like Qdk

Lone Wolf Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 The declaration looks a bit silly now... England gained Nothing from it. Root would have added 40-50 runs & it would have been the difference. Big big test for Stokes & B Mac this final session.

From Australian perspective if they whittle down the target to 50 or under then it is a matter of couple of mini cameos.

putrevus Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Khawaja doing the right thing , no need to go for quick runs, if they play out all overs they will reach the trarget.
Frustrated Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) That idiotic decision by Eng on Day1 to declare early is likely to cost them this test. Stokes probably thought Aus were a minnow side like India. Edited June 20, 2023 by Frustrated

Vs Pace it requires skill & ability to judge length quickly & faster reflexes & footwork & fast hands. His coach probably didn't teach him all that & it didn't came naturally to him.

He was playing Ajmal the best when everyone was struggling. The way he played AJmal was by dancing down the wicket. he met every single ball with center of bat when he wlaked down. He did not miss any ball going past the edge. That ability diminished over a period. Never used the depth of the crease well like say Aravinda De Silva, Sangakkara who was the toughest batsman Ajmal ever bowled to according to him. Sangakkara averages 132 against Ajmal in Tests.

vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 If you decide not to attack you can play Root very easily.
vvvslaxman Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Still not edge of the seat stuff. One more wickets it will be interesting. A left hander to bowl to for offies.
