Ajit Agarkar,chairman of Selection committee

Recommended Posts

There are some questions for Ajit Agarkar

What is the fuss regarding Kohli rest due to personal reasons and skipping the full.5 tests. Will he just can walk in the playing 11 ,if Patidar or Sarfaraz plays well in the next three test.

Gill only played well when he was told he would be dropped if didnt perfom well in the 2 nd test. All about the next 3 test.

There is PR that Iyer should not be dropped as he has fielded well.

What about Mukesh and Bharat. There are talks that Bharat has kept brilliantly.,so he should not be dropped.

I think in this team Patidar,Sarfaraz,Saurabh would fell completely isolated and just place holder for superstar players.

Also the selectors have left the decision to Bumrah to take a decision.to rest or not.Bumrah has just shown his form in the last test and there is enough days to rest between the tests

What is BCCI for then, other than pampering seniors and half seniors (kela)?

If players are taking all the decisions then they should dissolve BCCI

Instead of pampering seniors BCCI should try to make young payers into match winners.

Seniors are stars which are massively needed for IPL, youngsters wont become Stars overnight to carry IPL on their shoulders

IPL is the money bore well of BCCI cricket and money it pumps out is huge

We can see that ,a highly super highly overrated Dhoni  has a cult following, shamelessly will lead CSK yet again this year

BCCI people can't let go these overrated looser superstars who have lost each and every ICC event in more than a decade time

Need something to rival cricket in India

Football(not in near future)

Wrestling entertainment (very much possible, with ekta Kapoor Karan joharisque script writers in abundance here):wp23:

Baseball ?

Similar to cricket and will require raw power to tonk the ball..I see it as a big potential of success in India.

The Selectors have now new role ,to not hurt star players ego and work in tandem with PR of that star.

Virat Kohli unavailable due to personal season

Rahul and Jadeja are selected but are subjected to fitness. If they are not fit ,they should not have been selected.

Bumrah, he should take a break or not ,he will decide.

Iyer has niggle

There should be clarity in selection process.Thos whole scenario has increased the value of the players.

This same players will be available for IPL

I blame Agarkar for not identying any new talented fast bowlers.

Batsmen are selecting themselves. He does not have to do much. His selections have been awful in fast bowling. There is no vision for future.

Why are people whining about players not playing here but available for IPL.

Youngsters like Gill, Patidar and others are getting chances.

He has picked Akashdeep but dropped Avesh without giving a game to him. Mukesh selection was not a good one, even in the 15. Otherwise, since Bumrah and Siraj are certainties, he need not look around more

Most of the fast bowlers have been selected in Team India in T20,odi,Test and also A team.

The fast bowlers Sen,Tyagi,Umran ,have not been even selected even in their state team and the other promising youngstes ie Mayank were in radar ,but were injured.

There is actually huge pool.of fast now per ie Bumrah,Siraj,Shami,Mukesh, Avesh, Akashdeep,Arshdeep,Shardul now .

You can discount these, they aren't going to win you any Test matches, we have no one after Bumrah, Siraj and Shami, pathetic state of affairs for the worlds richest board with the largest pool of potential players. It just doesn't add up. Something is seriously wrong with the system.

Also many young  players have to be blamed also.Iyer,Gill,Sundar,Siraj,Kishan,Kuldeep  Umran,Arshdeep,Avesh were selected ,but they were not able to perform consistently.Sen ,Umran as an express bowlers were given opportunities ,but Sen has still not attained full fitness.Tyagi,Mohsin,Nagarkotti are even not playing in Ranji

I agree a lot with this . Blame is on both sides - Young players not showing consistent performances or not playing , and selectors not taking bold decisions by picking young players in place  old pacers who are past their prime.

1. If a potential India pacer does not play many matches in domestic due to injury

2. If he is not able to give consistent performances whenever he plays in domestic

3. Cannot even get a place in state team (though in some cases  it is due to biased selection) ,

how a selector can play them in India national team ?

The most, India A team selection can do, is to play these in A matches if state teams do not provide the opportunities & assess them .

In this respect Akashdeep selection is justified at this moment , though he may also struggle to take wickets in these pitches.

The biggest blow has been.of Kuldeep.Sen.He made a debut a against Bangladesh, had 2 wickets  ,got.injured and not yet got full fit.

He had the potential to be the gap between Bumrah,Shami and Mukesh Avesh.

He would have gained experience bowling alongside Bumrah and Shami.

He did not find most of them , they were  selected before he got the job. How can he take credit for Bumrah and co

if Mukesh is answer for fast bowlers then god save Indian cricket.
