Jasprit Bumrah has headed back to Mumbai from Colombo due to personal reasons .hope all is well and no injury

He has gone to mumbai on personal grounds.  Wont take part in the game tomorrow vs Nepal.   But nothing to worry.  He would return shortly and shall be available for all games in the Super 4.   As per media reports.

I see a lot of spiteful comments on X questioning Bumrah's work ethic etc raising questions like :" How can he leave the team in the middle of a tournament? Dhoni never did that yadda yadda "

 

This is a meaningless tournament where we've sent a sifarshi team with at least 5 dead-weights. Bumrah did the right thing being with his wife.

Correct. Spend time with the wife and newborn. 

 

This dravid has ruined our selections. Why does bumrag need to die for these scrubs who keep clinging on for dear life despite being well past their primes.

Even if it were WC, Bumrah would be justified to go back to his wife. Such moments are precious and nothing tops it. Just because Dhoni did it, it doesn’t mean he’s set the template for others.
