It is still all about Shakib and Mushfiq . BCB is not poor by any means, they are loaded with cash and why is that not helping them to spread the game to grassroots levels.That is the only way they can get new talent.

 

That idiot Hathurasinghe fluked out on some wins in his first tenure as coach and  thought he was a genius.He then destroyed SL cricket by dropping guys like Mathews and Chandimal from whiteball cricket.We  are still seeing the effects on SL team.

Bangladesh go far in u19 tournaments though, they weren't doing that a few yrs ago. Their kids beat our kids in 2020 so it's not all doom and gloom.
