Excluding their game against Ban (in which they scored 362),  here are Eng's scores in this WC so far: 282/9 (vs NZ), 215 AO (vs Afghan), 170 AO (vs SA), 156 AO (vs SL), 129 AO (vs Ind).

They were always overrated batting lineup who could do well only on flat tracks.

SL hv the weakest bowling attack in this WC.  Yet they dismissed Eng for just 156.   I will be surprised if Eng don't play the qualifiers for the WC2027.  They are likely to finish among the 2 bottom ranked teams in this WC.

I have rarely seen English cricket team being able to put bad days behind. Once things go bad for them on a tour or a tournament they are a train-wreck.

Eoin's team in 2019 was different. They had a few bad games and even there the effect continued in next few games but Morgan was a good leader. He motivated them to turn things around.

This English side has no leader who can put them back on track.

just like their super(ego)man stokes

And a very selfish cricketer. England have treated him like 'Papa ki Pari' after the 2019 World Cup win. He has no business playing international cricket after retiring from this format 2 years ago.

its just arrogance.not one player has put any price on his wicket. These are not flat tame wickets in England, you cant swing your bat across and expect to make contact on these slow 2 paced wickets.

they will do anything to service him. probably all of them line up to do so.

Buttler should have probably waited till 2 days before the World Cup Final before asking Stokes to unretire from ODIs. Afterall, he is the Final specialist.

Atleast he won't had to go back to him after watching England's embarassing minnow level performance in this World Cup as they will probably end somewhere at the bottom of the table alongside the Bangladesh Toygers and Orange Army.

They have been very average in this World Cup cycle. The key was always Malan. If you look closely, most of the matches England have won in recent times was when Malan batted deep.

Post 2019 World Cup , these are some of the numbers for ENG batsmen against Top 8 sides

Malan - 56/98  (average/strike rate)

Bairstow - 36/96

Buttler - 30/99

Roy- 30/96

Root - 29/82

Stokes - 35/102

Brook - 20/87

Moeen - 21/83

Livingston - 29/98

Malan is the only potentially world-class batter currently in that lineup.  They beat BD when he performed. When he failed, they all collapsed.

Their bowlers were pretty mediocre/average too.
