You are forgetting one main thing in your quest to prove something which is not there .Most  innings Virat batted were in chases where he could not score more runs even if he wanted to score

 

 

So we will take Kohli and his boring SR over as all other guys you tried to prove as better.

FYI, Virat's strike rate increases while chasing. He plays even slower, batting first

 

Also, virat scored 286 runs in 4 innings in this phase while rachin scored 203 runs in 3 innings (at + 33 sr, mind you) in the same phase. So about the same runs per innings at a significantly lesser sr but hey, atleast we'll take them because we have no other option

We saw that fire power on tricky pitches when the batted second. Maxie got two lives pulled off a magic. Otherwise Australia was going to get an epic phainty.

Oh and Virat's dot % is 42% in this phase as opposed to rachins 36%. So with all the talk about his legendary strike rotation, he still gets bogged down more than boundary merchants

Don't criticise just for the sake of criticising. Rachin couldn't do jack to prevent his team from losing to India, SA, Aus and even Poyz. All loses to top 5.

We don't have bowlers who can bat and batsmen who can bowl. It's not firepower per se that's a problem. Prime Yuvraj like player there and fit Pandya and everything looks different.

Losing your wicket just for the sake of losing won't help either. KL Rahul has a mini slump. So him having time out there is crucial as wel.
