One common thing with those knocks are strategy from opposition. IN 2014. Wide yorkers. In 2023 slow into the wicket bouncers. Heck even Kohli didn't exactly have full control over that strategy. In the Final only one who countered that strategy effectively was Rohit. He came out of the crease every single time to negte the slowness. One reason he could do that was because he is a fantastic puller of the ball so if you bowl short he can pull as well. Indians succumbed to strategical bowling. None illustrated that more than SKY who was reduced to a tailender.  Only players against which they didn't use strategy was tailenders. Kuldeep looked uber comfortable. Indians never had counter strategy.

Rohit in last wt20 SF against England also needs an honourable mention, 27 off 28. The game was gone then and there only. Played mostly trundler Stokes,Woakes and Livingstone.

Yuvi is faltu ka badnaam, Kohli played equally bad knock that day, 73 off 58 odds don't win you matches. You have to step up while setting up targets.

Out of the list, KLR Tops the list, Will never be able to forget him for this fiasco yesterday and those maidens overs in last wt20.

Kohli scored 77 in that game.. In rem 62 balls 70-80 odd runs enough to competitive total on that pitch

No someone who played half the overs should have scored atleast 20 runs more. He was equally struggling in death overs that day despite playing 50+ balls.

Getting a low score can happen to anyone. It takes 1 good ball or false shot but 60 from 100+ balls with 1 boundary is inexcusable

Exactly thats 18 overs. 1/3 of the innings' over. The guy ate 1/3 of innings balls on the name of consolidation and scored 60 runs. Sheer incompetence and nobody is even talking about it...

how many 20+ overs has Dhoni hit outside of IPL? Anyway it makes the list but not my top 1. Jadeja covered up for him but it was a timid and poor knock and hiding at no.7

Dhoni was shouldering arms to short outside crap in the 48th over. There is no comparison.

Indian players are classic stroke players. If you really want to tie them down you can do as they don't play unusual scoop shots.

Cummins took a big gamble, giving Maxwell to Rohit in powerplay and it paid off. Thala for a reason vibes. Another day, he won't get out to Maxwell and smash Cummins too after powerplay. Ugh

Every other batsmen, properly orchestrated demolition

Seriously Rohit immediately understood the strategy and used his feet. Other bozos were stuck at the creased trying to tap it, guide it. It was horrible to watch.

Others were equally bad. Rohit -Rahane pair failed but they didn't play 58 balls. Yuvi was bad but Kohli was at fault, too. He was taking singles and giving strike to Yuvi that day despite knowing that the guy is not connecting it. You are in God level form, you use it there and there only and go for kill . Like how Yuvi did in 2007 wt20 SF, India were 40 odd for 2 when he came and still smashed the Aussies to oblivion , he was in form batter during that phase of few days and he channeled it to the big occasion. You need extra push from those who are in form in SF-Finals.

Different pitch.. Even in 2007 finals gambhir score 75 off 54 balls but we scored 157.. It's team game bro, atleast 3-4 batsman contribution need to win in big matches.. If ind score 20 more runs we would have won that match

rahanes knock in the semi final vs west indies was the worst. he was middling everything but was happy to score a run a ball 40 on a flat pitch. probably cost india atleast 30 runs and the match, i honestly think india would have won had rahane got out for a first ball duck. the yuvi and rahul innins where bad but im not sure india would have won had they got out cheaply because they were struggling before rahul and yuvi came out to bat.

They were not struggling in the Yuvi match. Kohli was cutting loose and we were on the front foot, and then Yuvi derailed the innings. Rahane shouldn't have been picked. That was one pitch where Dhawan would've smashed WI bowling and we dropped him that game :wall:

Our last decade is filled with poor batting performances, and that's why we haven't won anything. On nearly every occasion our batsmen have sh*t the bed.

I disagree slightly with the 2014 final, rohit got out playing an innings of 29 of 26, kohli at one point was 38 for 36 before he started to cut loose, and even then kohli failed to score a single boundry in his 10 delivers in the death opting to feed the strike to yuvi and then dhoni. Not to take focus of yuvis terrible game but i don't think india would have won had yuvi got out cheaply or not played at all. something was just off about india that day IMO.
