Has there been an State by non BJP party in last 30 years that has been held up as some kind of model state for governance and economics ? Maybe Biju Patnaik for Orissa although benchmark is pretty low there. Maybe NTR for Andhra, did a a great job but... Kerala doesn't count because it survives on remittances. SM Krishna was very good for Karnataka. Nitish Kumar did rescue Bihar to some extent.
