Elephant kohli in the room

Recommended Posts

I am not a fan of Kohli . He has won us a few matches but in general , he has personality traits which are not conducive to team sport

eg 1 - left team after 36 run all out in Aussie

eg 2 - fought with goat Kumble and Kumble resigned.
eg 3 - antics on field .
eg 4 - quest for personal milestones . 100 s etc at cost of team scores

eg 5 - 5 match series absence against England

we know he is not injured. We don’t know if he some family member who is sick .,

if he shows up in IPL , it’s sure shot indication of lack of importance to the format which is most important.  I am bewildered as to why no one is even asking- what makes one go away for 1.5 months plus ?

even the great sachin came to bat after missing a match when his father died.  In the name of personal reasons , bcci is just shielding its most selfish brar ever.

I may be wrong but not being present for all 5 tests , esp when bazball in full force - ur stars need to step up after showing up .   Sachin played with so many injuries and was never mia . So was Laxman and Ganguly and Dravid.

the likes of kohli , pandya are the reason we are not wining . IPL is what has been a curse to India. Players like Shaw , Kishan are IPL millionaires and their motivation to play Ranji and tests is clearly lacking.

And what would have Mr Kohli done if he was in the squad . Just be happy he’s not there  otherwise there is no chance for paddikal , patridar , sarfaraz to even be selected .. let him take a break forever that’s what is say . I encourage him to only play ipl .. infact I encourage everyone with grade a contracts to only play ipl so we can actually have a decent squad for once

How is Kohli elephant in the room. He is one guy who for most played test cricket with utmost passion. and now people are questioning his intentions.

Best days of him as a batsman are behind him.He will have some moments but let youngsters take the mantle over.No player plays forever.

Fans should be prepared to lose a few matches including home matches possibly home series during this phase. Even the available oldies are not at their best.  Rohit himself is an elephant.

Most of our old guard aren't getting any younger, while we don't know what is happening with Kohli it is a blessing in disguise. If we need to build for the future we should accept a few loses.

We cannot have the home dominance forever. All great teams have a 10 year shelf life. After that results will start looking indifferent.

The greatest ever test also happened without Bumrah. Do we want Bumrah to be out. Knowing Bumrah who is known to go missing under pressure .

Indian bowling was superb with Bumrah. India took a lead in the pink ball test. But for catch drops INdia would have bowled Australia out for under 100 runs. Still we took the lead. Instead India was the one that got bowled out for 36 runs. Bumrah was not failure. It was the batsmen that let us down.

So, Kohli was the best batsman with 71 if he was not runout by Rahane, he would have given India a bigger lead.

You statement is stupid. Without Kohli India won the greatest series.

The same thing applies to Bumrah without him India won their greatest test win till date.

Bumrah has won many tests overseas lol What did Kohli win? Can you compare any of Kohli's knock with Rishab patn's 97 and 89?

Wait a second. Bumrah did not miss 3 matches. He missed just one test. He was part of MCG test which India won to equalize. He was part of SCG test which India drew.

So , Kohli did not play three tests, if he had played they might have won Sydney test too.

After all he was the captain who led India to its first series win in 2018 there.

Youa re being extremely biased by comparing with a guy who abandoned team for 3 matches without injury with a guy who missed just 1 test with injury. How is that a fair comparison?

No INdia might have lost all 3. Rahane let the weak side much better. 2018 Australian side was relatively weak side. No comparison.

I am not biased at all, Kohli did not play the last three tests which was declared much before it happened, he had every right to do so.,

You implication was as if he as running away from competition.

India won which was awesome but don't be idiotic as start using as if he was some coward.

Yea. He left the side when needed. You can invent new word to call such people if you don't like coward. Couldn't care less. This comes up again because he is doing the exact same thing now. This is another important Test series. Why couldn't he take break from Bangladesh test series.
