Teams I back usually do well in league and lose in playoffs/final. Hope it is different this time.

IPL rewards winners. If you win one title, the chances of winning the 2nd increase, and so on. If you struggle to win a title, you will keep struggling unless you do something special to change that trend. 

 

In the current top 4:

 

  • CSK 5 titles. And the final is in Chennai
  • SRH 2 titles (1 DC + 1 SRH). Captain Cummins has 1 WTC and I ODI title, so maybe IPL could reward him with a T20 title too 
  • KKR 2 titles. GG, its good luck charm, is back
  • RR 1 title. It is due for a 2nd 
  • ...

SRH deserves to win followed by KKR and RR. They're the ones playing T20 the way it should be played and hope they win. SRH's win may actually push Indian selectors and team management to make changes, else it will be back to consolidators, anchors, and stats-padders.

If not them then CSK.

Atleast Thala will retire...else he will continue to do the comedy next year as well stating CSK can't win unless I am the captain.
