The T20 World Cup in the Americas has received a terrorist threat, Trinidad's Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has revealed, saying the hosts will put in "extra effort in national security preparations and response readiness" to neutralise the danger.

Have a eerie feeling Muricans will force India to visit Pakistan for CT 2025.

We will get the idea after elections.. Which way the wind is blowing.

Current government has failed to modernize the army so War is not a option anymore.

All things point towards Aman ki Asha tamasha version 17.0

Muricans couldn't even force India to condemn Russia for invading Ukraine, how do you expect them to force us to physically visit Pakistan.

It will take some time to mordernize our army. The previous govts made little to no effort in this regard. Atleast now we are starting to build a local defence industry and our defence exports are rapidly rising.

Name one thing from the GoI which points to Aman ki NirAsha? I am curious.

Muricans and Saudis successfully forced India to do a ceasefire couple of years ago...  You should have paid attention to that.

Our defense industry is barely in a baby steps....  We can't even export Brahmos without Russian permission as it is a joint venture.

We depend on American engine for our indigenous project LCA...  5th gen fighters AMCA are in cold storage..

Our jernails still depend on emergency purchases... Few M777 howitzers were brought from Americans at Premium prices to counter China

No dedicated rocket force...  No sign of modernization.

Can't emphasize how much we have missed Parrikar...  Rajnath has been a disaster as DM...  Who has simply no idea.

So yes Americans have plenty of ways to push us.

Having a ceasefire doesn't mean we are touring Pakistan or starting trade with them. USA/Saudis 'forcing' us to sign that ceasefire is a just bulls*it propoganda with no logic whatsoever. What do they have to gain from this? They don't care about beggar Pakistan beyond their own self interest.

Our defence industry is in baby steps cause the previous govts didn't even try to build one. Forget weapons, they didn't even try to build basic infrastructure on our borders with China. AK Antony, the UPA defence minister shamelessly said in the parliament in 2012 that he didn't want to provoke China hence he did not build any roads near our border! We are much better war prepared now than we were in 2013-14. Earlier we didn't even try and relied solely on Gandhigiri to save our ass.

Nah it is on same level... If you closely analyze...  Nothing has changed in a decade.  Army still operates similarly.  No new domestic inductions have happened...  While Parrikar was instrumental in resurgence of Kalyani etc firms but since him it is same old same old.

Domestic Pinaka MBRL(range 90 km only) have been around for a while...  Current planning was to increase their numbers till 2026 but Nothing has been happening.

M777 howitzers from Americans are keeping us afloat in Ladakh.

I totally get why Modi g is also not messing with China and not doing a Nehruvian mistake...  Economy and military both don't seem ready for war.  Hence he said koi nhi ghussa on Live TV which was played on loop in China.  We need at least 15-20 years to develop a decent enough MIC to counter Chinese mass production of weapons at war footing.

But jernails and Babudom only want emergency American and ruski purchases.

Look at IAF's state right now...  After so many years of pleading in Parliament the squadron strength is not just sufficient.

Man the defence industry takes decades to build, even for developed countries. Our biggest problem has been the lack of focus on R&D, mostly coz of sarkari dominance on defence industry. Nowadays due to favourable economic policies more private players are getting into the defense sector, so much better R&D. Things are steadily improving. But yeah it will take several years for us to catch up to China.

not just years, but closer to a decade or more
