Ham toh Doobe hain Sanam ,tumhe bhi le Dubenge:Stop playing this huge piece of shyte Dube

Dube’s is a remnant from India’s archaic approach of a year or so ago. He’s severely restricted with his footwork, he can’t adapt too well to short ball, and he doesn’t seem to pick pace variations very well. In short, Dube doesn’t have the finesse for the position.

What he has is a long lever and a burly shot behind it but he needs the ball in his arc to be effective. Bowlers have obviously studied him enough to not bowl it there, and so Dube just swings away - connects some, misses most. Talking about Dube on Star Sports former India opener Murali Vijay said: “IPL is a different ball game. International cricket is different and I can say Dube is not in form and is struggling…his feet are rooted because he doesn’t have the time to move forward."

I've never seen Dube's feet move anytime and anywhere - be it IPL, against minnows or otherwise. The guy is a slogger with one shot - slog over mid wkt in case the spinner is stupid enough to pitch it up in his arc. I've never seen a more limited player in my life and he was brought in place of someone like Rinku who has the complete game, and mentally tougher.

Can't even imaging what Dube will do if he comes up against Nortje, Rabada or Jansen. And this bozo even made it to the Zim tour replacing Reddy when Venky Iyer is a much better replacement across batting, bowling & fielding.

The sensible thing to do is open with Jaiswal and drop Kohli to no 3 but i KNOW they will play the same team in the final so no point even discussing this train wreck.

You can play jaiswal directly in place of Dube. Same batting.position. He won't do worse.

Even in the IPL after a month or so the bowlers figured out Dube and he was not very effective after that. It was not the team selection that affected him, it was the bowlers not feeding him balls that he wanted.

But surely Dube shouldn't have been considered after his performances this WT20. How can selectors pick Dube and not someone like Venky Iyer? Venky is an attacking top order batsman and can bowl much better than Dube. Plus Venky showed up in IPL playoffs. It looks like there's an agenda against KKR players. First Varun C gets ignored when he was the best Indian spinner in IPL. Then Harshit Rana gets ignored despite being one of the best pacers in IPL. And now it's Venky. Surely there's something going on and it looks like team selections are done based on IPL franchises and KKR isn't in BCCI's good books.

I fail to understand what's the upside of persisting with Dube. Even if he succeeds in a one-off game it wouldn't change anything and he'll fail more often than not. So why not move on to someone who has the potential and a higher ceiling such as Venky or even Sai Sudarshan for that matter? Even though Sai Sudarshan is more suited to ODIs than T20s, I would still take him ahead of Dube.

Promoting Pandya and Jadeja ahead of Dube has wrecked him confidence wise.....If, if he is needed in the finals - don't count for much after what happened in the SF.

It's clear Dube's position is no longer tenable so may as well drop him and get Jaiswal in. Surely Jaiswal can't do any worse. And SA will go with a pace heavy attack and I really don't have the appetite to see Dube face likes of Nortje, Rabada, Jansen, Coetzee, Baartman or any other pacer(s) SA goes with.

Get Jaiswal in, push Kohli to 3 and no Dube. 3 birds killed with the same stone plus we get a left-right combo at the top of the order!

Baartman and coetze suck tbh.

Jansen and rabada are rhe dangermen

Nortje goes for runs alot

We're talking about them against Dube. I can bowl my 110-115 kph pies and Dube will struggle. I doubt Dube can even see Nortje's deliveries and by the time his bat is halfway down, it'll be all over.

At this point I can honestly say I would be a better option. I've the same level of footwork and results wouldn't vary that much either.
