We gotta be very careful. If we relent and go there we can't climb down later on and refuse to visit Pak for bi-laterals.

 

Personally I would prefer India doesn't travel there after what Pak and Pak govt did post 26/11. I'm sorry but we shouldn't change our stance now. After the "Aman ki Asha" trip by Vajpayee we got Kargil war, and in 2008 after allowing Pak players in IPL and doing all we could to foster friendly relations with them we got 26/11 in return. And there was also attack on Indian parliament in between in 2001. This was a repeated pattern and Pak has never arrested or punished even a single perpetrator.

 

We can't go back again for more, and have to live by the motto "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". We've seen that nothing has changed as far as Pak's mindset is concerned, which was apparent when they fluked that WT2021 game in Dewbai by winning the toss. The verbal diarrhea we heard from the so called educated and influential folks there showed their true colors. Waqar Younis talking about "Hinduon ke samne namaaz padna", their minister proclaiming "Islam ki jeet", Rameez Raja's rhetoric, and even the recent PCB head's statement a few months ago referring to India as "dushman mulk" says it all.

 

India shouldn't set foot in Pak at all, and shouldn't be doing anything to help them. For once the onus should be on them to show good faith. Punish key perpetrators of 26/11, extradite Dawood Ibrahim, reign in anti-India terrorist groups etc. and we'll talk. At the very least show some action. We're pretty happy kicking their sorry @$$es in ICC tourneys, and we should stay firm in our stance. If we relent now then what was the point of not visiting Pak till now? Indian govt will look like a hypocrite and the lack of bi-lateral ties has had an affect on Pak both financially and in cricketing terms. Just look at their team now when we meet them in CC tourneys. The gap between us and them has widened every year and this wouldn't have happened if we still had friendly relations with them, had regular bi-lateral series or invited them in IPL. Let status quo prevail and let Pakistan prove they've changed with actions.

We need players like Abhishek, Parag, Venky Iyer, and Harshit Rana (who can hold the bat). No more one-dimensional folks like Chahal, Siraj, Dube etc.
